I say that they are flashlight cozies.
At least those look better than the croched cock and ball warmers that one can still occasionally find in craft and antique stores.

Oh, and back to Christmas wishes...I want a propane fueled snow and ice melter. The Harbor Freight single burner adapted to the job just isn't enough.

You know something? You should ask Jean the guy that went and got them: http://people.tribe.net/b32514f6-6a16-4 ... 0cfd5423ea

I'm curious how he would reply.

He's actually selling them. He knows more about them than I.

seems like they would make a great xmas gift.

p.s. and now that I think about it, yes, they are fur turned back.

A bag of coal dear mr scrooge instead of that turkey!

We can really use it since when, the grinches, "Cheney and Bush" methodically raised the global prices for heating oil. With a bag of coal, we can sell part of it to buy several turkeys and heat our house for a week.

I don't normally ask for things for Christmas, but I will wish for
something this year.
I wish my downstairs neighbor would pay for some lessons for
thier daughter's clarinet playing. Last night she played
her 3 1/2 hour rendition of 'Mary had a little lamb', never once all the way through an entire verse. AAAAARRRGGGGG !!!!
Any how, Merry Solsticemas everyone, and enjoy your last minute shopping !!!

haha...I can trump you on that one Dick!
Luckily, Burner Baby knows how to play! BUTTTTTTT, Titwi and I got her an ELECTRIC VIOLIN....
Like I said, she can play, and very well I might add, but do you know what its like when a kid gets a new instrument? Not to mention one that plugs into a AMPLIFIER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She now owns 2 accoustic violins, one is daily player, the other is
a cremona Alfred Zapf copy 1721 Antonius Stradavarius circa 1909
She will have 2 electric violins (till I send the wrong one back)
2 accoustic guitars
1 electric guitar
1 amp
and a large loud keyboard...

By the way anyone know anything about the Alfred Zapf Stradivarius
We went to the music store to get her electric re-strung with good strings, and took the Stradivarius with us to get strung as well, and the look of fear came over the girls face, and she said "oh no, you need to have a professional do that one"!!!I dont want to touch something that OLD!
HMMM?

I was going to say if her electric violin was a barcus berry they would know where to get the Stradivarius done but if they dont, that would be rather unusual.

Well, this year I would like welding equipment, and a place to use it! And I am fairly certain I am going to get the stuff, too! (It seems my father finds my wanting to get into welding interesting, plus, I suspect, he has a few things he would like to have welded for free, or, at least, for cheap! )

(Heck, with the way the economy is, picking up a useful skill is probably a good idea, anyway!)

Hum. How about a dvd of Dinner for Adele, along with optional subtitles? And lots of wacky crap for assemblage.

Dear Santa, I want a job.

Post by Oldguy » Sun Nov 30, 2008 11:14 pm

I want to be picked for jury duty on tuesday. The second and following days of trial pays $15.00 each plus milage. Then a fulltime job would be nice.
I've reduced my monthly expences to $150.00; $70.00 for water/sewage, $20.00 for phoneline/computer, $20.00 for disposal, $40.00 for creditcard debt ( I owe $1,800 ). I collect cans for gas money. I get $170 on EBT foodstamp card. I'm selling some of my stuff. I have about $300.00 credit at PG&E gas and electric on the Reach Program but use only $20.00 a month for heat. Available but not used is the Salvation Army Heap Program ,if ever I get a two-day shutoff notice. Oh, once a month I get a bag of canned goods from the Gleaners.

I'm living large on less, but I'd rather be working.

I'll settle for a decent wheelchair though, this 200 dollar special just isn't cutting it anymore.

A Dodge Sprinter with a diesel engine to pull a 14ft or longer cocession trailer set up with four fryers so I can start a mobile hotdog stand business to set up at various Nevada events, to learn how to make my own biodiesel from all the oil I'd use from deep frying tons of hotdogs, fries, and Oreo cookies, a Mossberg modle 500 20 gauge shotgun with an adjustable choke, a Ruger single shot six .22 caliber, a mild winter (So far so good) so I don't have to get up at 1:30am to work a 12 hour shift, and I want Mooner, my #2 cat to have better smelling breath. (Her breath would kill the Good Humor man)
