Short answer: no. Yes, they do check ID at the gate if a participant's age is in question. Longer answer: if you can get your parents there, sure.

From the FAQ on the Main Site:
Q. How much is a ticket for my child?
A. Children 12 and under accompanied by a parent will be admitted for free. Children between 13-18 require full-price tickets. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 21 years of age. If you plan to bring a child, please read the Kids at Burning Man survival guide.

You need a parent or guardian at least 21 years old. If your cousin is at least 21 and willing to take responsibility for you, then you can go. If you can make it, you should. Most people your age have to wait a few more years because of a lack of someone willing to take them.

I don't think you are allowed to cook bacon, unsupervised, if you are under 18.

I would think that BM would be the easiest place to get into underage - simply ride with anyone else, and lay low in the rig. wear a mask, simply remain asleep when they give your ticket to the greeters etc.

I am ot advocating you sneaking in, and it is probably criminal for someone to take you without your parents permission, so your on your own.

It's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission.
And it's only illegal if you're stupid and get caught.

Of course YMMV, see disclaimer for details, batteries not included, and bring your own water, bacon, and ticket.

Just to advise you that even at BurningMan there are people who would take advantage of you. So you would be smart to have someone that you know well, that you trust. Go slow, watch what people give you in the way of drinks and drugs and you will have a great experience. It don't matter it you are a boy or a girl, if you are cute, someone will probably grab your ass. No different then the outside and there are more people at BRC that would treat you right, then would ever hurt you. Good luck

See, another real problem with going (and sneaking in) underage is that legally, you can't give your consent for anything. Your parents have to give their nod. This not only includes sex (come on boys, that joke is just ewwww) but also medical care. So the medics out there legally can't take care of you without someone who has explicit permission from your parents in writing giving them authorization to make any really important life-critical decisions that may come up. (Hey, it says on the back of the ticket it's dangerous!)

Unless you're an emancipated minor, of course, and then more power to ya. If you ask me, that'd be the way to go.

It seems a little extreame to me to get yourself emancipated simply to attend the event.

If that's what the little slut needs to do,
then that's what the little slut should do.

the above and all prior statements were made in the pretense that she is a she and that her assumed sheness is indeed quite slutty
