the real answer will surprise you. Christ was indeed a great teacher. and his teachings are worth listening to. However, most of what he said has been garbled, lost or simply tossed out by the (ta da) the Christians. He is no more a god than you or I. You should no more follow him than anyone else.

Faith indeed is important.

Or to put it another way: You would have to admit that god's ability to love, be tolerant, and ability to creatively work with poor performers must top what humans are capable of, right? So how could it be that what you conceive of as reasonable for god is so much less than what humans are capable of???

C. He breathes fire and smoke out of both His nose and mouth, but not to a degree that could burn anything.
D. All of the above.

By about 300 ad it was no longer fashionable to throw christians to the lions. Besides which there weren't that many of them left and those who remained had mostly gone into hiding.

And there were twelve apostles. Did only four of them think that Christ was important enough to write about?
