EPLAYA AWARDS 2007

Due to the continuing writers strike and the glaring lack of glitzy fake Hollywood award programs this year, I thought maybe it might be fun to Introduce, Nominate and Vote for various Eplayans who are deserving of recognition or who have made outstanding contributions or who have participated unusually on Eplaya or Playa in 2007.

Our very own awards ceremony!

Now I suppose we could formulate a list of categories and nominate candidates and decide what awards should be presented to the lucky winners....
then we can vote...

...announce the winners

...then the heartfelt acceptance speeches,

...the thank yous and kudos.

Oh this is gonna be good.

...I`ve got to nominate shitmouse.
I LOVE that name.
It`s meek, it`s powerful, it`s descriptive genius.
And a nice soul too...

...though I don`t know if shitmouse was even around in here in `07.

I`ve always liked the name AntiM as well ...
I envision a version of Oz with Tesla as the wizard and Jane Mansfield as Dorothy.

I`d say nominate as many as you like, then we`ll form a committee,
hire Diebold so we can keep an accurate accounting and then let the voting commence. Fairness, I think should be paramount.

However, I`m not quite comfortable with the deity personna. Such a tremendous responsibility that. I would instantly develop serious entitlement issues. It might also interfere with my ability to
remain a fair facilitator of the Awards Ceremony. . .
I mean GOD would not be a very fair judge of these proceedings...such a nit-picker...he`d want to humble EVERYONE in one way or other I suppose.

But I'd say the heaviest contributor to the well-being of eplaya that seems most forgotten, and deserving of recognition, is Nicole. Damn if I can remember her eplaya name... she was an admin a few years ago...

Technopatra! Yes! That's who I was trying to remember. If anyone thinks there is controversy or conflict or snarkiness on here nowadays... you should have been here a few years back! Technopatra managed to keep things together enough for eplaya to still exist today. What ever became of her?

And Bob... you know what it is about Bob? He uses the fewest words to say the most.

Technopatra was wise and left eplaya for tribe.
she post there every now and then. I miss her too here but she did the right thing.
It's way too complicated why she left. But she's happy there.

Not everyone shares the same warm and fuzzy feelings about her stint as a moderator. But at least it appears she landed a good job.

I have to give her credit...I got so disgusted with things under her watch that I went off and started my own board. It turned out to be one of the best things I ever did.
