Under the guise of an economic emergency....yep, could happen.
Or it could be triggered by blackouts caused by the 23 nuclear reactors in the drought stricken regions having to power off due to a lack of cooling water, in turn triggering exponentially higher power costs or in some cases no power at all. Couple that with an ever increasing need to pump water from places that have it to places that don't and it could get ugly. The people will revolt and next thing ya know...it's martial law time and the hijinks begin.
Again...it's Shrub Co. Anything's possible and they're certainly not above exploiting a situation to further any agendas they might have.

I've already made up my mind - I'm done with the USA. I just feel like Washington has reached a critical mass of "evil" and it will take decades of good people or a revolution to get rid of it. I'm not counting on decades worth of good people reaching the White House. The only question is whether I can make it happen this year or it has to wait until early next.

Dork, where do you plan to go? Europe will go tits up with Spain leading the way and England and Ireland following. Nothing in asia looks too attractive except Thailand.
Most countries have laws against foreigners working. You can always get a job teaching English though. I checked it out and it only takes 4 weeks to get a certificate.
I'm seriously considering Chile. It's a beautiful country that has a budget surplus. Russia isn't supposed to crash but, who knows?
If you're looking to get away from evil people, it cuts down on the possibilities. I would definitely pick a place that is warm and grows lots of food.
I wouldn't go to Paraguay. The bush family reportedly bought 2.7% of the country. Reportedly, they also said that they won't extradite for war crimes.

New Zealand. I nearly moved there a couple of years ago but chickenned out. Just need to save up a little money and figure out how to work the visa. I ONLY have 10 years experience in a profession on their long term skill shortage list. Without a matching degree or a family to bring with me I need a job offer to get a visa, but of course it's hard to get a job if you don't already have a visa. I think it will be fine, but will require a leap of faith.

Thailand is appealing, but not without a telecommuting job worked out ahead of time or substantial savings to live off of.

I do agree, his acts are treasonous against the United States. I wish the Senate would grow some balls and stop waiting for his term to just end and treat him and CHENEY as the pirates they are.

Speaking hypothetically, a truck blockade at the refineries would be impossible for the media to ignore. If the whiteys would ralley to general[hypothetical] support, it could make a great difference.

But the solution is not a 1776 type revolution, it is to beat them at their own game, that is true revolution. Turn the tables.

Start the Impeachment and Treason trials I say. I don't think hanging is good enough for them, why let them off that easy, but that is not my call because as you stated earlier, a lot of laws have been changed in this country and they where put in place by the Dick 'n Bush administration.

So lets start with some water boarding, not torture according Dick 'n Bush, and find out what is really going on. Then we can force them to have sex with each other, nipple electrodes , and whatever else Dick has lying around his office, I am sure he has a set of thumb screws in there somewhere.

Personally I don't want to watch or be a part of it, but luckily Dick 'n Bush have trained soldiers and agents to do the job without mercy. I am sure that some Blackwater merc would be willing to pick up some extra scoots.

And luckily whoever does the job will already be pardoned by the "G.W. Blanket Pardon" that the Admin is trying to put in place.

Maybe in the future treason could be redefined to include any selling out of the public by elected officials, even especially for private gain. Worse even than betraying to an ideology or a foreign country -- to line one's own pockets. If you're gonna have a death penalty...instead of the good ol' boy country club slap.

Security screners at a Texas rally for Barack Obama this week stopped checking for weapons at the front gates after being told by the Secret Service that the crowd looked "friendly," according to a published report. Meanwhile, a Dallas police officer was killed today while escorting Hillary Clinton's motorcade.

The order to stop checking weapons apparently came from the U.S. Secret Service, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. Police officers interviewed for the story told the paper that it was a lapse in security.

On the Clinton campaign, the police incident took place when an officer crashed his motorcycle this morning while escorting the New York senator. The officer's identity was not released at press time.

it scares me, having lived thru a previous generations election cycle where all hope was shattered in an instant, in a kitchen in a San Francisco Hotel.

it scares me, knowing that building 7 did not commit suicide, but was actually murdered.

it scares me, because i admire and respect obama. I think that he might actually make a difference in the course of our nation, as we either steer or drift, as we have for 8 years, down the river of history.

it scares me, because we are a violent nation, and we have become desensitized to it...it is almost with a non-chalant glance that we shrug and continue on, even after yet another horrible public rampage.

it scares me, and like every other superstitious buffalo bills fan (notice how we have never won the fucking super bowl in 5 tries) i almost hesitate to say this out loud, or type it, or hit submit, for fear of unleashing some cassandra like chain of events that i will feel guilty about forever, (like the year the giants beat us by 1 fucking point because our kicker couldnt PEE straight, let alone make a 36 yd field goal...i digress).

it scares me because it's almost expected...a given, that he might be assassinated, or at least an attempt made.
