HappyFunJay:

Thanks for sharing! It really made me homesick seeing your photos. It was great fun reading about your experiences, too! It sounds like you camped with a bunch of great folks and I hope to see you back out there next year!

Better late than never, here is what is.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/36379536@N00/?saved=1

2007 and 2006. 3 of these I did not take myself.
One is from RGJ
One was sent to me by someone else.
One I took from someone on Flickr (ha,ha)

I would have lots more but 8 years worth are on 35MM, and my
computin' skills are questionable at best and my scanner is whimpy.
I'm taking Viagra and drinking prune juice - I don't know if I'm coming or going.

I just want to send out a massive wave of sheer appreciative energy to y'all who have linked to photos and videos from this last year. Speaking as someone who missed it, it does the heart good to still have such a vibrant connection; all of these lovely little windows to this past playa. I overflow with gratitude!

My Burning Man 2007 Photos

Post by Alligatorz » Wed Oct 17, 2007 9:01 pm

I finally had a chance to finish going though my photos from Burning Man 2007. I posted them in a blog on my myspace page here:

http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea ... =320080750

If that link doesn't work, search myspace for alligatorz to find me. Also I was wondering if anyone took or has seen photos of me from burning man (I'm the green furry guy in my photos)....tons of people were taking my photo all week long and I am curious as to what is out there of me.

Saturday Sunrise at the Temple/Tribute to the Dust movies

Post by moontrolling » Wed Oct 17, 2007 10:44 pm

I done gone and posted my 2nd short film from BM2007 footage over at YouTube:

This one features video shot from my bicycle as I loop around & around the Temple, the Shrine and Abraxas, which was providing smooth morning beats, while the sun popped up over the playa Saturday morning. I like this one alot cuz it is random and raw and really brings back the essence of the scene for me.

My 1st movie is a tribute to the dust storms and double rainbow, you can view it here:

If you watch and enjoy either one, leave me a comment, yo!

love, moontroll

Hey Patrick78 how are you doing?

I think there are a lot of people here on the eplaya that appreciate how tough it is to get exposer for a website, but this post is for Burning Man videos from 2007. Just Burning Man Videos.

One Eye I agree with you, there are a lot of cool videos, nice site, but isn't there a place on the forum where this announcement would be more appropriate or maybe Patrick78 could have posted his BM 2007 Video?

No mousey mouse, there isn't.
This is exactly the thread it should be in.
Go to the link and enter keywords "burning man 2007"
There is a nice handful of vids there, and who's to say that one of those isn't his or one of his friend's vids ?

Oh Dicky Dick, then why did I take such a rash of shit for telling people about my book last year? It went right along with the theme and is PURE art.

Maybe the ePlaya moderator could make a "Yellow Pages" like post for "Burners" to list their businesses. Or a Burner Business Listings website.

And again a link to the video would have been best not to the top level domain.

The message is spam - googling the username revealed other forum registrations with just one post pointing to that site.

You can find those same "burning man 2007" videos by going straight to youtube, which is where the site in question is linking to anyway.

But they had pr0n there!

But yes.. Dork is right.. that site is lame and is spam by all standards. It was a neat try though.

Playa Portraits Project

Post by moontrolling » Sun Jan 27, 2008 7:25 pm

I created a video based on the photographs I've taken in my Playa Portrait Project; you can watch it here :

I took portraits on-playa in 2004 and 2007. Shoot me an email if you see yourself in the film and I'll email you the photo! Leave a comment on Youtube if you enjoy it....

These are my experiments with panoramic video loops! There are a lot of different approaches to this sort of thing... here are just a few examples of pleasant imperfections.

It's written from the point of view of a virgin explaining Burning Man to someone else who's never gone before, so forgive me if it re-explains a lot to you that you already know.

Enjoy! Pass it along to anyone who's interested.

That was the best Burning Man blog I've read, and I've read alot! Last year was my virgin year as well and reading your story brought back many cherished memories of that strange week in the desert. I hope to run into you on the Playa! 8)
