Fuck....the cylinder head in my fiancee's truck appears to have cracked this afternoon. This leaves us with a vehicle that could be repo'd at any second as our primary transport. And we learned today that the job she was trying for and had a second interview with is still doing basic interviews for the same position.
You know things are bad financially when the debt management people look over your numbers and tell you point blank to call a bankruptcy attorney. So in 8 days it's off to Lincoln to start the process of filing. There ain't nothing left to do....but scrap it all and start from scratch.
And of course this comes a day after spending a week of soul searching. When my fiancee's mother found a helpdesk job with Union Pacific in Omaha and pointed it out to me, I relunctantly applied. I wanted out of helpdesk work. But I applied for this position and got a telephone interview, followed by an offer to come in for a face to face interview. But...I didn't want to leave the part of Nebraska where I'm at to work in Omaha. Omaha is just KC without my family IMHO...same city bullshit, just a different state. So I emailed the recruiter and asked for a one week delay...and they basically said we'll file your app away and maybe we'll get back to you.
It's bad, it's depressing as hell. Yet I still have my family, I'm still alive, I have managed to line up a different vehicle to drive and half it halfway paid for, and I have hope that things will get better. Fuck the credit card companies, fuck Countrywide, fuck Citizen's Bank...fuck 'em all.

Fuck, Kinetic V, you have my sympathy! I tend to be fucking lousy when it comes to managing my money, and credit cards don't help! It is too easy to charge something and plan on paying for it later-- only to not have the money when "later" arrives. 
And, for the record, FUCK ITS COLD OUT! 41 degrees F this morning, -10 degrees F tonight, and really, really windy!
...and I can still remember a cousin of mine in Kansas trying to tell me weather changes like this don't happen, some time back in the 1980s or so.... 
What the fuck?! Maybe I will go ahead with a project I was toying with for this year's theme (no, not the flag burning one-- an alternate one). Maybe more on that later.

I woke up this morning in a panic, realizing for some reason that I
left my pet ratties out in the garage overnight.
One of them fell of of the shelf (there is no cage) and was loose somewhere.
Our garage is not finished and there are multiple places where he could
have gotten outside easily.
It only took a couple minutes of looking to find him, but
that much panic fucked my mental processes up.
I then sat down a the computer, checked my e-mail, and accidentally deleted
an entire page of my most recents instead of just the single credit card offer that I was trying to get rid of.
FUCK !!!
I've never done this before, and there were multiple things there that I needed to download and take care of.

I haven't tried it since windoze 98 but there is a way to recover deleted files provided you have not written anything to your HDD and know what the filenames were and where they were located.

we got robbed tonight. my roommate and i left the house for fucking 4 damned hours. when we got home we see the fucking giant lcd tv is gone, as well as the xbox among many other things. FUCK!!!!!!! holy shit, i don't think i've ever been so upset before. they fucking kicked in the back door. it was locked, deadbolt was out, they fucking kicked it in. fuck this, i fucking hate everyone.

yes, it does fucking suck. The consensus is that it must have been someone who knew what type of stuff we had. They also must have been watching us too (kinda freaky) since they knew when we were gone. They probably also knew i have a dog b/c they blocked off the stairs w/ some furniture so she couldn't get down to them...but the dog is deaf though so she probably just slept through the entire thing.

gas pedal off of my artcar while I had it parked in the driveway
sometime in the last month. I just replaced that one month before last years burn.
Now I gotta go through the junkyards again to
