Burningman Bound 2008!

Ahoy!

My name is Chuck, and I'm going to be attending Burningman for the first time this year. I'm way stoked to be coming, and look forward to meeting everyone I can. I may be camping with some friends from Camp Suckie Fuckie, which should be a hoot. Hopefully I'll be able to make some fire toys to bring down with me as well.

Congratulations and welcome to the little event called Burning man.

First off, read everything on the Burning Man web site and I mean everything. Then read it again. We don't need fresh meat wandering off in to the playa and then sucking up our valuable medical supplies when they end up in the medical tent.

Second, read every thing on ePlaya but take the personal nuances of communication with a grain of salt. Some people are down right assholes in the anonymous communication form but very nice and helpful in the face to face communication form.

Third and this is covered on the web site, pick your camp mates carefully. One week in the desert under difficult situations with drugs and alcohol thrown in, changes people drastically. The nice guy in the default world is a different person on the playa.
