The thing with Imagine...is that it was always one of those songs that pulled at my heart strings......as we were sitting in exodus 06, It came on, and for the first time I think in my life, I really really heard the words, I felt the meaning of the words, I felt the meaning of what he was trying to convey, I looked out into the open playa and the last of what was once a great city just 2 days before....
...and I cried even harder! For John, never got to see the city he had dreamed of!
"Imagine all the people"....not only did I imagine it...I lived it, and continue to live it 365 days a year.

wow, I went back there MozY... Gone are some of those people, to other area's of their lives....
will they stop in on the way to preparing for playa...no one knows?
But this is why I stepped up the shifts in the bar!
No one likes to see a bar die....I certainly wont let it!
Its important for people who are used to something being there when they need it...for it to still be there!
So What will it be folks?
Can I get ya something wet?

It is a great read...It kinda like the classic tale...
I would imagine like walking into a old bar that had been closed down for 100 yrs...to saunter in alone....dust off a weak wobbly barstool...and say aloud, BAR KEEP, Ill have a whiskey...then right before your eyes, the days of yesteryear would play out, while you sat there drinking your whiskey, watching, not wanting to really move or breath ...afraid it would fade as fast as it materialized before you.
To take in the magic that had once been, to smell the old cigars, to hear the saloon gals giggle, to see the man on the right side of the poker table holding his pistol in his lap ready to shoot the first cheat!...
Yes...never let the bar die....!

There is an explination for the "missing pages." A long, long time ago, at teh dawn of eplaya bar thread history, we had 10 posts per page, instead of 30. So those pages aren't lost, have been squished together t make longer pages.

Today is suppose to be warmy'er!
Gonna light the first FIRE PITT, fire of the 08' today early, thinking maybe 4pm'ish so we can enjoy the embers into the evening...
Gonna do a weenie roast, with friends from Sac and the kids from Ca...
Guess I better get outside and shovel out that one side that still has a foot of snow in it!
Today...is the first day of the rest of your life....enjoy it, and above all share it with others!

just took a walk out back in my robe and barefeet! sat at the back table with Titwi, talking to BoxB on the phone about homemade gravy!
Soaking up the awesome sunshine!
So that is where Im going now...to the kitchen to stir up some weekend grub!
