I built a few jacob's ladders with 15,000 volt neon sign transformers, and I wanted to take 'em to the playa, maybe put 'em on the roof of the Land Yacht, but they are hyper sensitive to wind, and I'd have to enclose them in a plexiglass case. That'd ruin the effect, and even make them SAFE. That would suck.
Maybe I need bigger transformers?

I remember seeing that or something similar,... good thing to with my old slow dial up I don’t even bother trying to load video unless I’m cooking or doing dishes or something while I’m doing it.

(climbs down the jacob's ladder into the bar)
Far out man. that is a cool entrance. the roof however really does need a longer runway.

(looks over at the mouse hole) I don't suppose you guys know anything about aeroplanes do ya?

A pair of robotic eyes shakes it's head "no"

didn't think so. Oh well maybe Captain Goddammit or MozyBonz does. I just fly the damn things. Probly should see if chilton has a book though. Working on aeroplanes has gotta be better than working on cars.

(pours a little moonshine from a mason jar) Oh Well, I love this bar anyway.

(Looks at the juke box and the automatic banjo box) OK which one of you is gonna play?

The banjo box starts up immediatly

Wake up, wake up, darling Corey
What makes you sleep so sound
The revenue officers are coming
They're gonna tear your still house down

Well the first time I saw darlin' Corey
She was standing by the sea
with a fourty five stuck in her bosom
she had a banjo on her knee

The next time I seen darlin' Corey
She was standin' in the still-house door
her shoes and stockings in her hand
and her feet al over the floor

Go away go away darling Corey
Quit hanging around my bed
Your likker has ruined my body
Pretty women gone to my head

Well she said "oh yes my darlin;
! will do the best I can
but I'll never give my pleasure
to another gambling man

dig a hole, dig a hole in the meadow
dig a hole in the cold cold ground
dig a hole, dig a hole in the meadow
gonna lay darlin' Corey down

Darlin' Corey's gone to judgrement
She is headed for the promised land
Now she;s layin' out there in the graveyard
she'ill never hurt another man

Good detective work Mozy, thanks Crypto for the intel. I like the-behind-scene's/history of this electronic establishment. I've read a few past post's about page mile marker celebration's (1500, 1600, etc.) and I think it was Crypto that said it's happended before (like if the Bar thread was an odometer and it's already rolled over once or been reset) making it have been more pages then we know. I've never read straight through, but have read 90% since personally starting posting, and have went in 50-75 page blocks of reading, skipping a few hundred inbetween to dip my toes in. One of these days/weeks maybe I'll endeavor to read "The Never Ending eStory" :D I imagine it'll take a few weeks off and on, and with a shit ton of bookmarkers (using the brower bar and the ending reply count #). I read awhile ago about a post from BigCock we had in here that made me laugh my ass off!! Ahhh...reminisce. I remember the days of ol' in this dusty bar...we were rolling the tread so fast it wasn't even like a forum because there would be 7-8 posts by the time you refreshed the page...alas (Cc takes a sip of java...quiet reflection) always a fantastic time. Keep it fresh/Keep it fun/Keep it a l i v e...

Good Sunday morning.....uhg.

Well the Firepitt party was a smashing success!
Everyone dancing round the ol' pitt, roasting weenies and making sh'mores....of course there were 3 of us who spun fire for the masses...and did a couple lessons with glow poi to newbies...one of my daughters friends from Monterey could spin a pretty good staff, and per say usually I wouldnt do this, but we lit him up...man o man...that kid is a natural! Matter of fact he could spin so fast(and with control!!) that he was able to estinguish the staff mid spin!
Hahhaaa yet another victom to the call of the flame.

That was what his ear to ear grin said " wow, the SOUND, the best part was the SOUND of the fire"...I said "sorry dude...your hooked!"

Then our other friends who got us the deal on pavers showed up...with 2 pallettes of pavers...we got 20 people to do the unload, some of the kids, said why are we ALL doing it? I said cause its funner that way...so 10 minutes into unloading everyone is like a well oiled machine, and lafter just started emitting like sonic bombs into the heavens! Everyone working as one soul! Yes, my friends...its not about the job, its about the friends and family around you cooperating in such a way that you actually get something from the experience! Everyone walked away (of course after numerous pictures were taken first) with the biggest smiles, and a new brick buddy, or two! Perfect ice breaker for even the shyest person in the mix.
After that, it was everyone talking to everyone, no one was safe from the fun!
We nursed that bad boy firepitt from 230pm till round midnight!
walked outside this morning to trash cans full of empty PBR's and Booze bottles....couple sitting sideways out by the firepitt....
yes...my soul is full and I have a perma-grin on today!

ok gotta go be lazy for a few, more pavers coming in an hour...and I dont have my 20+ helpers....

Enjoy your day! Smile at EVERYONE, you have the power to change a bad day into a good day to a perfect stranger!

(Walks in the front door to find the juke box and the automatic banjo box looking at him expectantly)

Yes, yes I know. Everyone has been too busy to come into the bar haven't they? Well you know sometimes they have to take advantage of the weather in order to get things done. Don't worry they do like the music that you play. Tell you what. I have had a long day daling with people who should really think about improving the gene pool, and I am too tired for any partying tonight. Do you think you two can take turns playing som sleepy time music for me?

(the automatic banjo box and the juke box look at each other the give a nod.)

Thanks guys.

good night everyone!

::quietly sneaks in and covers BoxB up again with the NEB::

Looks at the automatic banjo box and the juke box, give them the nod to play quietly but to slowly rise the level as to not wake BoxB.

Turns on the coffee pot, checks the ice supply, bloody mary supply,
Beer supply...ok morning rations are ready....

off to make some bacon for the bar..brb!

Even though the sun is shining there's still too much snow to go dig into the trailer to start getting things put back together for this year...so I am just working on the music themes again. How about you?
