What is HONKFEST WEST?
Honkfest West is a convocation of 15 activist street bands from the PNW and around the country, featuring horns, percussion and performers claiming the streets for joy and freedom (See www.honkfestwest.com).

When?
March 21- March 23 (Easter weekend)

Where?
Ballard and Georgetown

Why now?
Americans have been in the doldrums for a few years and the time feels right to
move the conversation from fear and fundamentalism to hope and humanity

Honkfest History
We are modeling ourselves after Honkfest (www.honkfest.org), an event that takes place in Somerville, MA. This is how the granddaddy Honkfest describes our shared culture and vision:
