the question is "Do I Vote?"

depends, the general election, state and Local elections, school board election,

I only vote during the general election, presidential, congressional, state and local including referendums and such. Not in local school board elections or things as such

Yes, I vote... for all the good it seems to do... (Still, I want to keep the ability to vote, just in case someone I like runs and actually stands a chance!)

Registering as an absentee voter was the best thing I ever did for my sense of democracy and civics. I get the ballot in the mail, I've got time before it's due back to research and decide the issue and if I'm just needed to vote on a single, localized issue like a Measure or school board, I can do so at home whenever I want for the cost of a stamp.
No pain, all gain.
Okay, so ten out of ten for style, but minus several million for good thinking, yeah?

Should we be paying for primary elections when all is decided is the parties nominee?

I think that the entire process should be funded by the government, with no money from outside interests, and everyone gets the same amount for their campaign. At least that would be closer to the candidates running on their merits. (Not that we can even get that seriously discussed here at a state level, here in Wisconsin, much less get it attempted nationally. Too "socialist" or "fair" or something.)

There is a movement out there to fire everybody everywhere and start over. I can't remember the name but it started with a N (six capital letters). Um... I web surf way too much.

But regardless, something needs to be changed.

I suggest supporting Ron Paul.

I can't bring myself to support Ron Paul-- he seems too much like the wrong sort of Libertarian, repacked for the Republicans. (Besides which, he's the "national sales tax, no income tax" guy, isn't he? That would really screw over the poor!) If I am going to vote for someone who has been eliminated already, I'll go with Kuchinich(sp?). The Greens had one or two people running I liked as well, but I have a suspicion they are going to try Nadar again, which won't work.

Even Ron Paul can't bring himself to support Ron Paul - he's stepping out of the race.

Well, fuck, you think they need encouragement?!?

They're going to get in there and do what they do whether you "encourage" them or not.
You might consider at least mitigating the damage by voting for the least fucked up of the evils on offer.
I respect your right to decline participation in something you disagree with, but no whining out of you regarding the effects, 'kay?

BTW,
If you wish someone responsible was president, then get on out and vote for someone responsible.

How slim of a margin did W win by, both times?
How many people who hate him but didn't vote would've been enough to tip it to where he would not have been able to shoplift the election(s)?

If you vote, you're part of the problem. -- George Carlin, RIP

I can't get down with Ron Paul because he's pro-life and anti-immigrant. I can see there being pro-life libertarians, but I just don't get how any libertarian can be so negative towards immigrants. What greater freedom is there than the freedom to take my person wherever the hell I want as freely as I want? Borders are imaginary lines that should not be honored.

I love Ron Paul for wanting to abolish the income tax, however. A national sales tax would be far greater, and would not screw over the poor, no matter what the liberal propaganda says. Staples such as food, basic clothing and medicine would not be subject to a sales tax. The progressive tax system we have now taxes the poor more than a sales tax would. National sales tax would put a stop to people spending more than they make, and spurn savings and investment, which would lead to magnificent economic growth. Spending is good for the short term, terrible for the long term. (thanks for the rebate check anyway though, GW)

No matter what anyone says, I'll never be convinced that the government can choose better what to do with my money than I can. GIVE IT BACK!
