How freaking flexible would you have to be to give oral sex to yourself? I can barely touch my toes...geez... okay, so if you gave and got , think it would work like a double negative and cancel itself out, that way you can just tell your partner we both have to participate so we don't get cancer! ...yes, no... come on throw a dog a bone, double negatives always work in math...
Sensei wrote:I noticed you kind of glossed over the article's use of the term 'may'. I'm not entirely sure, but it sounds to me that the article in question (or at least the headline) 'may' be complete bullshit. That's just about as accurate as saying that the universe 'may' have been created by the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
The sky 'may' be falling! The sky 'may' be falling!
(Can you tell I hate that kind of reporting?)
"Sensei"?? Sometimes when you post stuff like that I wonder if sensei isn't an oxymoron?
This isn't the first time I've noticed that people start going off on conspiracies or thinking that the poster is a troll when they get information they don't like.
Think about it for a second. Do we know that HPV is associated with a higher incidence of cervical cancer? Would there be any reason that other mucosal tissues exposed to HPV would not also tend to have higher rates of cancer?
I'm sure the association with pot smoking was thrown in for the titillation factor, but smoking does cause increased rates of cancer. (Although with the better grades of pot and such small amounts inhaled, I can't imagine that the risk is very high.)
Hopefully this link will work.

OK I just checked. You have to register to use the site. Call yourself a "practictioner". Who cares what kind of practice you do?
Now who's the oxy-moron, eh?
Critical thinking isn't for everyone, Dana. Does "Oral Sex And Pot Linked To Cancer" and "Oral Sex And Pot MAY Be Linked To Cancer" mean the same to you? I sincerely hope not, for your sake.
Nobody was accused of being a troll. Nobody accused anybody of being part of a conspiracy.
Don't be a drama queen, Dana.

How could any study involving pot have actual facts ...think about it.
Who is exactly being tested here ?
and no you don't have to have ribs removed to blow yourself..... why do you think men actually take up yoga ?

We have an obligation to make space for everyone, we have no obligation to make that space pleasant.

And I was very offended by the way. Anyone can see by looking at my picture that I'm not a troll. I'm an ogre!!! We're not at all alike!!!How many years have you been on the playa? Do you have a lung ailment? I am starting to suspect this is some kind of troll from the anti-burning man group in here again stirring up trouble where none exists.

Summary and Introduction
Summary
Cervical cancer is a major cause of cancer mortality in women worldwide and is initiated by infection with high-risk human papillomaviruses (HPVs). High-risk HPVs, especially HPV-16, are associated with other anogenital cancers and a subgroup of head-and-neck cancers. Indeed, HPV infection could account for the development of head-and-neck cancer in certain individuals that lack the classical risk factors for this disease (tobacco and alcohol abuse). This Review summarizes the main events of the HPV life cycle, the functions of the viral proteins, and the implications of HPV infection on their hosts, with an emphasis on carcinogenic mechanisms and disease outcomes in head-and-neck cancer. The demonstration that HPVs have a role in human carcinogenesis has allowed the development of preventive and therapeutic strategies aimed at reducing the incidence and mortality of HPV-associated cancers.
What ever….
You will need to pull the woman from my cold dead face first.
Yuck that didn't sound good did it? well you knew what I meant.
With all due respect Dana I find it odd that your perception seems to be that people need to debate you on any thing you talk about on this board. If a couple of people are talking tongue and cheek you seem to want to create a debate out of it. I feel comfortable saying that every one on this board knows cancer is terrible. I have lost 6 people in my family. It’s OK we know. Thanks.
