I hope this Mofo's visit doesn't interfere with Burningman this year....I have a feeling that there will be alot of people "apprehended" for no reason other than looking suspicious... hmmmmm. That might be EVERYONE!!!!!

Yeah, even if it weren't April 1 it's really hard to imagine that it would be worth his time much less the people from the republican base he'd turn off.

Ignoring the great spoof, perhaps McCain should take time out and roll the Straight Talk Express right on into BRC. Talk about getting some media attention...it's a win win for McCain and the event!

I was pretty sure it was an April Fool after reading into the second paragraph, after which I just giggled a lot. And just to be sure that there would be no doubt confusion, they included that over-the-top touch with the "Heightened Security Measures" posting.

I have to admit, though, that a part of me is a bit sad that I won't have the opportunity to walk up to Sen. and Mrs. McCain and offer a handshake while wearing only shoes and socks...

I thought this was going to be a political thread about a possible McCain presidency. That scares me a lot more than him possibly attending the event then later declaring the law enforcement surge started last year was working, with a marked decrease in naked people and things on fire.

Yeah, it has a snowball's chance in hell but occasionally hell does freeze over. And considering they've already had US Senators out there, it's not that much of a stretch to have that bus show up out there. It is BRC after all...strange things can and do happen on the playa!
