I am a little dirty like that.
Rag you gotta be careful, smiling and nudging is just a hair away from grinding on elevators, subways, and busses. You can get in trouble doing that. theres probably a 12 step program.

You'll never see my house on the back of a trailer going to the FBI HQ! And I love the airlines, and univerisities.

I always pictured myself as more the D.B. Cooper type.

Father of Steampunk

Post by gyre » Fri Apr 11, 2008 11:38 am

I don't think Ted entirely eschewed technology.
He seemed to prefer handcrafted machines though.
He is better known now, as the father of steampunk.

Did you know he was a subject in the OSS mind control program MKULTRA?

His personal cipher used no modern digital encryption, just boiler plate by the book techniques.
It was done well enough that it took the NSA computers a long time to sort out.
I find that somehow reassuring for privacy.
Simple things, done right.
