Post by hunter S » Thu Apr 17, 2008 3:43 pm

Ok, Rebecca Freckle & I have been living in a carport now for four months! It's time to redecorate!!! Wake up Martha Stewart & share some ideas.

We have seen many creative ideas's on the playa but could use some help.

We have our playa couch, recliner, carpet.

So what Martha Stewart ideas do you have???

Interior: we have a roll-up bench for a coffee table, a painted floorcloth and painted hangings. There is a cot which has a nice cover and throw pillows, and cozies for all the coolers. A nice comforter over the tent. Some years we hang curtains to section the carport for more privacy near each tent. We have battery operated Christmas candles for ambient light when the florescent light is off. This year we are adding a crystal chandelier fitted with solar LEDs. One hopes the crystals don't get snagged by errant hippies.

exterior: not too much, some graphics cut from billboard vinyl and grommeted or clamped on, some banners and flags, Bucky in a chair, an easel with Hot Jesus, a sculpture or two. The Home for Wayward Art counts as camp decor, does it not?

Phil,

After seening that photo i finally realised who you are. I was camping right next to you behind fruit and nuts. You gifted me a bottle of jones soda with you and your wifes picture on it. They recently started selling jones soda in Ireland and everytime I see it on the shelf it makes me think of the playa and smile! Thanks very much for that :D
