Weird TV

Post by gyre » Fri Apr 18, 2008 9:23 am

Weird TV ran in the 90s here at 3 am and I never even knew what the show was.
A short clip of art cars with no explanation, was my introduction to burning man.
Anyone else?

I'm not sure.
Watch some of the clips and see if they're the same show.
There are more out there on youtoob and so on.
I remember some really neat groups of people in LA and elsewhere on the show.

It would be a shame if I had to resort to self-deception to preserve my faith in objective reality.

Are you saying you saw one of these recently?

By the way, the show Weird America is connected.
That's running now.

It was the weird america show - The Helco year 96? That aired in December while I was at my parents house for christmas late one night. They (my parents) watched and just sort of took it all in - I told them that "Burningman is much more refined now"

lol -

I didn't know there was a Weird America show on burning man.
I'll have to watch for that.

I fell in love with the early burning man, and it was different by the time I could make the trip.

Chuck Cirino and buddys are the creator of weird tv, he came to burning man in the early days looking for the weirdness for his shows WTV and weird america, he found it out at BRC, (his brother Ray made Water Woman)
it was because i had seen his early doc. video that i ventured out to the desert. to have fun and make a video of my own.
His is availabe at this web site and i have seen it at the store in gerlock.
my video"Johnny Neurotic Burns"
In latter years he did a live show out on the playa called Talk Show camp Show, They used Capt Peppers moving living room to do crazy interviews.
and then screen them at night on a big screen.
PARADOX: contrariety, misfit, absurdity,
inexpectation, ridiculousness!
