Now they are real car folks!
I have pictures.
I
How many bring the special cars out?
I've seen a few.
While I agree with DustDevil that cars ought to see at least some action, I would NEVER recommend anyone bring a cool old car that they give half a shit about to the fucking playa! Playa dust is corrosive as hell. Every truck I've brought to the playa shows it. I brought my nice truck last year, never again!

That's why I wanted to see pictures of burner's cool iron... you sure as hell wouldn't wanna take 'em to BRC.

Looking for the pics of my old hotrod..

1965 Chev Corvair crown conversion mid engine V-8. Built it 1971-72 while stationed on USS Jason AR-8 in S.D. . AR's are floating factories...anything the Navy had we could repair or make another. Everything from on board foundry to opto and crypto repair.
Engine was a 360 hp 327 plus non street legal slantplug heads 700 cfm holley, 4 speed, . note later corvairs starting in 65 had double jointed rear axles and other parts common with corvettes. 2.5" copper-nickel exhausts, aircraft bucket seats with explosive seatbelt releases, 4130 chrome-moly roll cage, 4" navy gages, inconel and braided aircraft oil-lines from NARFNI (naval repair facility north island), etc.

G60-15 tires, (stock was 13") 3.27:1 axle ratio. Hit indicated 140mph north of LA going uphill on I-5 with speedo still cal for 13" tires...rpm was 6000...still more to go...ran out of balls.

That car has probably killed someone by now.

I had a chance to buy a full crown V-8 with the padded engine cover and everything.
Beautiful in black.
Very cheap too.
There are quite a few daily drivers in the Corvair V-8 club.
I want one of the wagons, very rare.

From another forum
....Jaguar concourses ("I'm sorry sir, but that clevis pin is supposed to be silver cadmium, not black oxide - kindly leave!"), Morgan/MG/Austin-Healey/Triumph get-togethers ("I'll gladly trade you a Whitworth fiddly-widget for a British Standard bailing wire hammer"), and, of course Lotus lovefests ("If I shave 6 grams of rotational mass by installing a carbon fiber window regulator, will it improve my lap times?")

From the urban dictionary:
Burner
One who attends the Burning Man festival annually in Northern Nevada. Being that the festival is very dusty, burner's cars and supplies are typically covered completely in dust.
I saw a group of burners. Their car was covered in dust and filled with random crap.
