Any gay oriented camps?
Any gay oriented camps?
Besides Avalon and it's sub-camps (no pun intended), does anyone know of other gay oriented/ run theme camps?

I've heard from our old friend, "a reliable source", that Stiffy Lube isn't going to be there this year.

I've been a member of Audrey's for a number of years (last year we did spa services and some killer dance events w/ dj's, year before was a major drag show) but this year the founder is scaling back and there will be no independent Audrey's. Not clear yet what may evolve.
So I'm looking for a group that's cool with rv's and generators (superquiet type) and a mai tai proffering crazed architect.

Really? Ha, that doesn't have anything to do with the bazillion lube caps the linesweeps had to collect around their spot last year does it? 'desperation village' it is cheekily referred to as...heheheh...betcha more straight guys than gay guys go in there. I myself much prefer the classy C&J. Are the Astropups going to be there this year?Eric wrote:I've heard from our old friend, "a reliable source", that Stiffy Lube isn't going to be there this year.

That, plus the fact there's only 3 main people and they've been doing it for.... 5 years? 6?
Too long.
I don't really know many people from Avalon, oddly, so I'm not sure about Astropups. I haven't heard otherwise.
Comfort & Joy, however, has no plans to pull up stakes as far as I know. I loves them!

Longer than that. Scott drove their rv one year and that had to be before 02. Didn't the "Jiffy Lube Incident" take place in the 90s?

The sign was the funniest thing I have ever seen out there STILL to this day.

The question is , Does anyone have video ??
The sign was a moving piece of artwork.....picture those little wind up sex toys going at it but in a slower and much larger scale.
When they finally hooked up the mechanics and turned it on I laughed so hard it almost made me vomit.

I wish these things weren't judged on the untested hypothesis of honest depections of sexuality somehow harming children.

I didn't watch it all, so I don't know if it ever goes into action. I know I've seen video of it.

Hi, My name is Mario aka Julie the Cruise Director for Moonbow Camp, we'll be there and last year there was a couple of other gay camps around us. We're at 3pm at i, there was at least 6 other camps around us.
This year we're planning and organizing the first ever BRC Gay Pride Parade on wednesday morning. Line up at 8am and parade starts at 9. It's open to everyone, Gay or straight, or anyone just wanting to show Gay Pride! Since every other city has one, why not BRC!
Lets show them how many Gay's show up at Burning Man 2008!
I'll be sending postings about the event to all the gay camps on Tribe.net
See you there,
Mario
