Mile High Burners

Post by Calmncollect » Fri Apr 04, 2008 5:45 pm

Hey everyone. Well this year is my first time coming to burning man after being begged by my friends for a while now to join them. Unfortunately the one year I can make it they all cant so I am going solo and I think it will be a blast that way.

I was hoping to meet some other burners that will be heading out from the Denver area, not for a ride but just to meet and what not.

I am going to be spending my summer working for the Nevada Conservation Corp and camping for three months prior to burning man so I think i will be more then ready to handle the week long event.

Cant wait to meet as many of you as i can, mile high or anyone.

There are a few groups of burners in the Denver/Boulder area. I haven't personally met up with any of them but I've heard about them. Here's some links, hope they help =)

Lots of resources here

I know that there are burners who meet up on Tuesday's at the Thin Man in Denver. I don't think it's every Tuesday though. They post about it on this yahoo groups page.

Thursday's Thin Man Meet-n-Greet is not happenning this year, but the bar owner, Eric, is a Burner and parks his Chinese Junk art car out back. My favorite bar in Denver.

New website, www.Coloradoburners.com is brand spanking new and, consequently, not a lot of traffic, though there is about 260 folks on it right now.
