porta pottie rentals

Post by AKrena » Mon Apr 28, 2008 4:04 pm

Hey. I have some questions regarding how and from whom to rent a porta potty. It's my 3rd burn, I just found out that I am an expectant mother and seeing as i'm getting married this burn, i can't miss out! There will also be older campers with us and I am looking to accomidate everyone as much as possible. Last year i was part of an "unofficial" village which had rented prota potties, and I'm looking for any information as to how to obtain one or two for our camp. If you can help, or point me in the right direction, that would rock! Thanks. :)

Searching here turns up

You can also bring a bucket for taking a leak and later pouring in the porta-potties.

You could ask the people who organized it for the camp/village last year.

To add to those links, we had a 4 hole trailer I towed in from Reno for the Terminal City Collective.

According to the invoice I still had in my truck, 1 "Big Jake" model #107 rented for $145 a week from Sani-Hut Company, POB 7455 Reno, NV 89510 (775)3586720. We had them rented for 2 weeks.

The Big Jake was precharghed with mystic blue magic and had 4 industrial sized (2 blue, 2 pink) squatters on a heavy duty 2 axle trailer that had enough of an aisle space that we lashed 10 to 12 bikes, carried the poles for the Booby Bar domes, and put some other light weight, but bulky stuff onboard. My overloaded Dodge did not have any trouble pulling it.

For the week, the set up crews started using it on Saturday morning.

We had 130ish total by weeks end that were utilizing the facilities.

It was pumped and recharged/restocked Friday afternoon. Not sure what that cost was, but it was reasonable. It was getting full looking prior to pump out but as far as I know, we had no overflow issues at all and when everyone keeps the seats down while not in use, they do not stink up as the bad smells go up the vent stack and carried away.

We had 4 padlocks that were keyed alike to secure against unauthorized use and each member camp had 2 keys for their people. Worked out very well and made life grand.

Cap. Smashy! I was part of the Terminal City Collective as well, under the alias Corp. Bexterman. Great to hear from you!
Indeed the potties there were a godsend from the usual mess of the larger public potty banks. I wasn't sure who had been in charge of purchasing and bringing the potties. All very helpful info you posted, and thank you so much!
p.s you gonna have anymore of that chocolate stout?

HEY!!!! My Sunday Night Walkin Buddy!

I just got back from your neck of the woods. I flew up to see Quick and experience Roller Derby shenanigans PNW style with her and have an impromptu summit with the CO and a few otherl MASHers over my POW status. They took me to Enchanted Forest for water boarding and hilarity ensued. :D

And yes! I will make sure to have more of that Chocolate Stout for you and Red this year. :D

As for the porta pots, I was merely the hauler. BB Sue made the reservations and what not for the actual unit.

A friend of mine wants to tae out 1000 of those little flexible survey markers, and mark out all the pee circles twice a day in a defined area. over the week it should add up to quite a field of flowers.
