Holy Shit! I thought the big swingset was scary. This thing terrifies me!

Seriously though, how is this thing held upright? Cables? You'd have to be certain that it 1) Can take 60 mph sustained winds and 2) the cables will be securely fastened to the playa (which is just packed dust).

Also, it shouldn't be taller than the man. :D

looks awesome - I am sure you wont have a problem anchoring it to the playa.

We used some 4 foot lengths of 1 inch rebar as anchors on a super dome, took a forklift to pull out.

I usually throw the carp back when I catch them. I don't know why you would want to bring one to Burning Man. That's gonna smell by the end of the week. Bring plenty of dry ice.

Hello all; the structure is held down with 10 wires and is desing to take way more loads than any acrobats can deliver. But i read somewhere something about lightning...

I'm happy to see it might interest someone; i'll also supply wathever rigging gear is necessary, as long as the performers brings his or her own performing equipment.

I'm currently touring the states till mid april, after that i should be fully availlable for trainings or ... Hey maybe we can hook up.

Yes, merci, of course all the help is welcome; we're planning on having a great time over there n ext year. Thanks. Goth.

I wouldn't worry too much about lightning. It's pretty clear most of the time. However, I wouldn't perform during a storm if I were you.

There were quite a few circus groups over the past few years. Perhaps try looking them up to see if they are interested. The Rigging looks awesome! I will watch for it on the Playa!

Re: performing aerialists, you might also try tracking down Matt B. at http://www.m2silk.com - not sure if he'll make it out there this year, depending on his schedule, but he's pretty amazing.

I'm an aerial acrobat and would love to use your structure, but probably not at burning man unless you have it inside some other structure. Something like that open to the wind is not fun for us on the Playa.

The Dome Camp was a great place to perform last year so I hope to see them again this year. Perhaps you could partner with them or some other camp that has shelter for you rig.

Best wishes to you

Obviously if this thing was erect and were there a good thunderstorm inbound, what kind of Big Show that would produce?!?

Looks like fun. Anchor the guys well. Playa ground isnt known for its stake holding ability.

Dead mans, or extra long anchors are necessary for that solid anchor feeling.

here it is again; still figuring out how to clear customs with it, any tips ?
i'm setting it up soon to try out new gyzmos, any funky ideas ?

can't wait to get there; oh! by the way, i guess i'll be setting up first or early in the game. where ever i set up will need some planing, the footprint for the guy wires is 70x80' (slightly variable). plus there would be some angled wires and...

security issues should also be addressed before hand of course, and on that topic, i will supply all the required acrobatic rigging, since the equipment is certified. i will also assist or work the acts if i can be of any help. anyway all these little matters will be delt with 1 on 1.

i guess that's it for now. with or without see you on the playa.

Hi;

No i haven't hooked with anyone yet; it's getting to be a lot of logistics : Only 1 pick up truck for 1 stage-trailer with the kit and 1 fift wheel camper.

So far; 4 persons are confirmed with their tickets (all circus world related). We're still looking for a place to park and ways to get it across the border without freaking no one out...(including my wallet).
I'm more availlable lately and i'm still working to make it happen, i understand the rush for you to find out so you can lay out the camps. Don't wait for me; i'll keep you posted on any developement.

Even if i can't take it along, we'd be glad to be there and help out.

Goth.
