Current Playa Conditions - Wet, Dry or somewhere in between

Post by BenWillett » Sat May 10, 2008 2:27 pm

We're thinking of taking a drive out to the Black Rock - High Rock area and am wondering if the playa is driveable this time of year ? Has anyone been out there in the last month or so ?

Also, has anyone driven around Trego, Sulphur, RabbitHole to the east or Soldier Meadows Road up north ? How is it ?

Thanks,

Trego is nice, Double hott is just that, and black rock is an adventure to drive too. Not sure how the playa on the north end is, south end was hard enough to drive on 2 weeks ago without problem.

Frog Pond is easy to get to on Jungo road.

Just keep an eye out for any change in the color of the playa you are driving on. Dark playa = baaddd. Light playa = goooood.
Camp FuckIt + MT - 7:15 & D (maybe)
