hiya burnlicious dustmunchers,

its to be my 2nd burn and in the spirit of taking silly ideas seriously i've decided to pull a theme camp together with my buddy.

i cant tell you what it is yet...

regardless, it requires costumes, props, etc.. for it to be convincing.

looks like i got to raise about $1000 dollars. BRAF has no more cash for this year. anyone know where I can get sponsorship/grants?

How many people are in your theme camp already? Just tack on the extra money to camp dues. Even if you only have a 10 person theme camp that's only $100 each. It shouldn't be hard to raise $1000 within your own camp. If it is then I am wondering how interesting this camp will actually be.

build a lemonade stand with baked goods and pay off a kid to run it for you...

you can pick up some extra cash that way.

Or work some OT at work and start putting money aside out of every paycheck. that's what I am doing.

Things you don't want anymore in your house+e-bay= CASH$$$$ one mans trash is another treasures... and it is free to put them up for auction and worse come to worse ya sell some of it and some of it does not sell and you get a few extra bucks

That is how i managed to make extra cash for things i need for the burn this year.... took all the old games and cd's and stuff i no longer use or listen to or have not played in like 2 years and other stupid stuff i though nobody would want and sold it on e-bay....

well i've read of a DJ Donna Matrix, but that's MY "Dawna" Matrix.

Dawna Matrix is a sister of perpetual indulgence from the russian river. he has a radio show on 95.1FM as well, we're both DJs there, yeah, ahem, no big deal, really :lol: And he's the MC of Bingo Night - which everyone on earth should go to at least once... last time i went i was stripped to my underwear for booing and dobbed for a dollar per smudge - $68 dollars :roll:

You don't want to tell people what you're doing and you want them to give you $1000? If I knew someone willing to do that I think I'd take the money myself.

Seriously, we all work hard for our projects, if it's too hard to raise the money by this year, it'll probably still be good in 2009 if it was worth doing in 2008.
