parachute tent question

Post by cunfuzelled » Thu May 15, 2008 9:46 pm

i put my parachute tent up today in my back yard. it was aobut 102 outside and about 105-107 inside should i raise up the sides so it just makes shade but still allows the wind to pass under or should i cut holes in the top to allow air flow? any suggestions? i was also thinking about getting another parachute to make it double layer but i dont want to spend the money for that if it isnt necessary.

any help would be very much apriciated

If you can fix it to where you can raise the sides and get ventilation, you'll probably find it will help. You can also pull it back down during dust storms if needed. That's how we do with our dome cover and it works nicely.

Center the hole in the chute at the top and let the warm air out through there as well.
