Perhaps introductions are in order.
Hi I'm Kewltrips.
Specs;
age: 22
sex: M
location: Wichita Kansas
----------------------------------------
I just recently stumbled upon the culture that is Burning Man. I plan on attending the 04 event. I will be going solo on this first trip driving the entire way in my lil Jeep. I work outdoors for a living so I'm quite familiar with the heat and severe element aspects of the event. I do a lot of camping (was a scout for many years) been camping in an igloo i built in over 2 foot of snow before, i cannot wait to try the other extream of the spectrum out in the playa heat. I'm all about being self sufficiant. It looks to be quite the experiance to be out there with this many people and that much awe inspireing art. See ya on the Playa.

ola' everybody! wow, im brand spankin' new to burning man, and ill tell you, this amazes me... i heard of it last july when some of my friends were telling me how pumped they were to be going for 2003, but never really knew the intenseness of all these burning man shananagans...
my names sara. and i am canadian, im going to do everything i possibly can to get to burning man 2004... it will be a totally different type of camping out than im used to, all the snow and mountains will be replaced with heat, sand, and more heat... so hopefully all of you can help me prepare for this. i guess i can put away my toque and mitts for this one, huh?
and i guess you'd like to know a bit about me?
graduating from high school this year, yes, im definately a youngin'
fell in love with life recently, and been living it to better myself, and others since.
goal in life is to learn everything i can about everything, and in my path, leave nothing but good times, smiles, and awesome memories to be shared with many awesome people....
looking forward to meeting all of you in my future...

Hello Tonka...
I'm green myself, but that won't stop me from sayin' "Hellooooo!". Hope your stay is enjoyable. Mine has been so far.
Is that Tonka as in the toy or something different entirely? ...I remember when they were made completely out of metal.

For all you newbies who want to get into an enlightening discussion with mostly veterans, go to Trey's (iii's) cultureshark link, and that will put you on the so-called 3playa. Most of us know, or have met, one another and our collective knowledge, if not warped by our own excesses, may be of some use. Good luck and say hi once you're over.
The Doc
P.S. If that doesn't work, or you can't figure it out, simply go to Google, punch in 3playa, then "I FEEL LUCKY" and that'll work as well.

Well, I may brew two batches. A nice stout that you can have with a fork, and a lighter brew, perhaps a hefeweizen.
I've been toying with the idea of adding a very slight mango tint to a hefe and see how it turns out. I don't like heavily flavored brews, but just a hint should add a nice sweet twist to it. If I don't do the hefe, then I'll likely do a scotch ale ar something kind of Fat Tire-ish.

Been lurking for quite a while, finally decided to start posting. I'm an engineer in the LA area, married, with a great daughter. I first heard about BM in '94, and three aborted attempts later (what do you mean $2 isn't going to cover gas?) I finally made it last year. Planning to be back this year as well.
When in doubt, push the RED button!

Hey, put that down it's loaded...
Well, yeah...
Planning on traveling and camping alone, so there will be no last minute change of plans by others. So I guess I'll see you there.

Hi everyone... I am the Muse. SF Bay Area (Oakland) resident, 3rd generation Californian. Sophmore burner with a tendency to instigate art, love and nonsense. I am volunteering at Arctica this year... hope to meet many of you.
