I know a well endowed redhead that may have some more "Sideshow" wine to share with you. Last year we were too busy with Crude Awakening to enjoy the rest of the event. I promised her this year no large projects. I think the only time I saw you guys was when we did the your flame effects inspection on your Mutant Vehicle.
Those who think they can and those who think they can't are both right.

Yeah, I was a little surprised the two of you didn't swing by. We won't be having the fire cannon this year, and there's no guarantee that the DMV will even allow our art truck. But I want to personally thank you again for the five (or so) cases of wine. All but about four bottles of rose were finally drank. And frankly, for the first several days, it was the wine of choice. Cool labels too. Again, thank you and the red one for the vino!

I would like to say Thank You to Scqueaky for her contribution of 11 assorted Barbies. They will certainly have their place in the sun! Wine, anyone?

Well, anybody looking for symbolism at Barbie Death Camp obviously doesn't know me very well!

I just love that blog. It makes me think of a group of people at a gallery murmuring their criticisms and compliments of a specific piece that some said "represents the working class struggle" - then the janitor came and cleaned it up.
In one way or another, most of the art at Burning Man is performance art - because of the sacrifice and participation of the people viewing it.
Such is true of the BDC&WB. It's about the people. Thanks, Doc for giving us all so much pleasure over the years and particularly for hosting the meet 'n greet.

Misfit, sorry it's taken so long for me to respond. I have a call in with my friend who used to work at The Sands. They got bought out by Terrible Herbst and as the old saying goes, a new broom sweeps clean. He is working for a hotel that doesn't have a casino attached a bit south of the strip. He's trying to work something out, and if that comes to pass in the next couple of weeks, I promise to post it.
A quick Barbie Death Camp update: We received 10 new Barbies recently, and that puts us squarely over the 1200 mark.
Barbie Death Camp & Wine Bistro will be a stop on the Fifth Annual BRC World Naked Bike Ride and Pub Crawl, beginning at The Man on Thursday at 11 a.m. I expect the hoards to arrive around 11:30 or so. More nudity than a place like the Booby Bar will see the entire week.
We also are on the Playa Calendar for the Annual ePlaya/3playa Meet & Greet, Thursday afternoon beginning at 6 p.m. That is a lot of fun, and as I've always maintained, even The Elephant Man could get laid at that party. Considering who has "gotten lucky" that is less of an exaggeration than you may think. I wonder where Borris is these days?

You must be including your Barbies in that count.Dr. Pyro wrote:Barbie Death Camp & Wine Bistro will be a stop on the Fifth Annual BRC World Naked Bike Ride and Pub Crawl, beginning at The Man on Thursday at 11 a.m. I expect the hoards to arrive around 11:30 or so. So... Do you need any extra wait staff?

Doctor, I am a virgin to the Playa this year however I hope that you will welcome me to stop by and visit. I have read and heard so many great things about you and your camp. I will bring by a bottle of my best. Looking forward to seeing you on the Playa.

Hey Doc! Delighted to know you'll be back again this year and even more delighted to find a photo of our Fling of Destiny in your new photo website! Hope you were able to come and give it a fling yourself!
A plan is what you vary from.
Destiny Lounge 3D will be at Bradbury and 3:15 this year as a part of the 404: Village Not Found group of camps! Come see us!

Daddy-o, there's a reason we call ourselves "The Friendliest Concentration Camp On The Playa". Please do come by and visit, have a glass of wine, relax in the shade and chill. And might I recommend stopping by the ePlaya/3playa Meet & Greet Thursday beginning at 6 p.m. Good way to get to know your fellow ePlayans. And with any luck, you might even "get lucky". It seems to happen with a degree of frequency at that thing.
And Bigbluedoggy, your Fling of Destiny was a ball! I took Sunset's picture and then attempted to destroy the planet myself. Will absolutely be back again this year. And considering we're probably only going to be one block away, it's an easy stagger!

I feel truly honored to be invited to your "meet and Greet" I will be there and maybe even with bells on my toes. I went to the flea market in Roseville a few weeks ago looking for a bike for the Playa and didn't find one, however, I did see bunches of Barbies. I am going back this Saturday to look for a bike again. I would be honored to pick up some Barbies for your camp if you still need some. Even if you don't, I will pick some up as I would love to watch them melt at the hands of fellow pyro. Let me know if you would like some.
