haha, understandable but thats about as much disclosure on the venue as we can give at this point. We did post some pictures of the venue but are keeping it secret to its exact location for the privacy of the land owners.

We'll have a full list of things to bring and not to bring by this thursday.

Thanks for your patience!

I understand where you're coming from AntiM but this is the Regionals & Events forum and this is an event; One that might be interesting to some burners. Pretty much every regional charges some sort of entry fee, that's commerce too. I realize this may not be a "burning man" regional but I don't see anything wrong with advertising this here. Just my opinion.

Regionals are sanctioned, big diff .... this has been hashed over repeatedly down in case studies. I give it a poke now and then. The rule of thumb has been fund raisers and official regionals, not simply events of interest to burners. I'm still waiting for consensus, but I'm not likely to get one from the community. And I'm not holding my breath for direction from the org either.

And yes, advertising is frowned on. Always has been. I'll give any OP a poke to keep us all on our toes.

Thanks Dan!

I have been going to Burning Man for 6 Years now, and have been part of a theme camp for 4 of them. Burning Man has brought a lot into my life and I have been posting our anniversary event on this board for almost 3 years now.

I post it here because its our anniversary and I think that people who go to Burning Man would find our event rewarding like I have found Burning Man to be.

Every year we are met with skepticism by a few folks, but most people here accept us with open arms.

I've always thought this would be the appropriate place for people who love Burning Man type events to find out about other events of that nature near them.

NOT Officially Sanctioned Burning Man only events.

Peace and love.

So what happens other than a concert in an undisclosed location?
Does anyone really buy tickets before they know where they're going?
"Everything is more wonderful when you do it with a car, don't you think?"
-girl by the fire, watching a tree moved by car bumper in the bonfire

It would be a shame if I had to resort to self-deception to preserve my faith in objective reality.

Sorry for the late reply everything has been keeping me quite busy.

Its much more then a concert in an undisclosed location. Its like a giant family reunion. A lot of people claim that its the indescribable vibe of stilldream that makes it what it is. For each person its something different.

For some they say its the total openness of our small community, I could go on forever but I won't.

For us at Stilldream our goal is basically to put on a good event every year. Its our anniversary and its something we believe in. Every year we get closer to tuning in to our vision.

This year we have for the first time the Stilldream learning exchange that will feature several classes with guided meditation, visualization, some dance classes, a free painting session where we are giving out painting supplies and canvas to those who want to paint something of their experience this year.

There's really too much to talk about but hope this helps you understand where we are coming from.

Absolutely! Being that we have been doing this for 8 years now. The community trusts us to provide them with a totally rockin venue and a wonderful experience. As of right now we are about 50% sold and we announce the venue tomorrow.

Thanks for the questions and hope this helps.

:)
