hi everyone, I need to find out which site I need to go to regarding getting people to help us put our art car together this year. We need creatives, hands on, who can weld and build and also put money into developing this project. We have a truck parked in fernly that we use every year but this year my mate is getting married so all his attention is on that.
I promised that I will do that I can to design and get this project built using volunteer support and passion.
We have already agreed the design but it needs to be simple and practical, can anyone help or at least lead me to the correct section for posting this.
I have been to the burn twice and this is my third year and I am from England.

Go to the regional section on the BM site. Contact the regional contacts for that area. They can put the word out for your volunteer needs.
Just an FYI, you need to pre-register any Mutant Vehicle by June 30th. Without that, you can't bring it.
But if your buddy isn't going, your in England and don't have the money for it... Why are you wanting to do this? Maybe plan for next year. Three months is not a lot of time to make an MV.
There's also a section in eplaya for volunteers. Check that out as well. But keep in mind, the DMV doesn't license half-assed attempts at MVs.

Here are a few things the DMV hotties look for in an art car...
Radically modified...shouldnt look like the original vehicle. should be able to transport peeple..... safety..at nights...well lit...with fire effects, safe..dont use garden hoses with propane..If pulling a trailer, the hitch needs to be well lit...and YES it needs to be pre-registered...unless you have family in gerlach or an uncle on the washoe board of supervisors..
If all of this sounds really shitty..don't blame the DMV..they were created because the BLM doesnt want any moving vehicles..This is our comprimise..
