Yes, but because I don't have reliable internet access right now, it's sporatic.
I'm currently gathering supplies/resources for the signs. I just bought rolls of plastic and cheap scissors. Next adventure is to get my computer and printer working together to print the signs. Day 100 is looming, kids.
If anyone has sign ideas, please post them here. They can be long or short, but will be printed on 1/2 sheet signs.
Thanks

There once was a burner from Kent
And into the potty her wipies went
Though clean was her fanny
And wipes she used many
She should have schlepped them back to her tent.
---
There once was a burner entitled
who thought by his charms all beguiled
in the potty he was rude
and tossed in all things crude
But thought himself edgy and self-styled.
---
Keep the baby wipes
Out of the porta potties
Don’t be a dumb shit
And into the potty her wipies went

And wipes she used many
She should have schlepped them back to her tent.

Howdy campers,
We've slid past the 100 day mark. Here's the latest nooze from Potty Central.
FEH! I ran out of ink on my Lexmark 710, and it's nigh impossible to get refills. Gawd I hate built in obsolescence. It's nearly as expensive to get a cartridge as the whole damn unit. Cripes.
I am going through previous year's signs, bringing in poo-etry and hai-poos, as well as some of the funnier sayings from years past. Then it's sorting by type and making decisions on what will make an appearance out there this year. Then I hit Staples and print them bad boys.
The collation and affixing them to plastic will be done this w/e.
I am SO grateful to Inspiratum, Octagon Captain Chuck, ZoomZoom and Harmony for inviting me to their next work party, where I'm the main attraction coming up.
If there's anyone out there who wants a fun activity to do this summer, I need to find about 50 plain, white, XL t-shirts from thrift stores. I refuse to pay more than .99 each for them. I live in a small town, so I'm not going to find many here. But if you live in a metropolitan city, and you want to help out, let me know.
Whee ha!

Post if you find or no longer need the shirts, I'll look around cause I'm sure I could find them. It's guaranteed if you wanted the kind with some factory defects, like a small hole here & there, but you never know what you'll get. Unless you'd wanna sow a patch over the defects or sow them up as part of the project. I'll be looking.

Odd, i was going out to Good Will for a couple of white shirts..
The Out of Africa and Bomb Bay Tea Co.. Are right down my Steam Punk alley
So I wanted shirts with no collar.. My daughter said she just picks the collars off a regular shirt for my son in law..
Salem is a little jerk water town but I will see if I can get you a couple three K?

Just when you thought it was safe to go into a thrift store...I'm still searching for plain white XL t-shirts. I went into the local thrift emporium and asked one of the employees: do you ever get plain white t-shirts w/o decoration? She said Sure, but then they go right out the door. Time is drawing nigh, so if I can't do the green thing and get them used, I may have to pony up for new ones. That's unfortunate.
So if you want to help with the Pottie Project AND have that glow from knowing you are keeping BM green, then please look around through the Men's t-shirt section of your local thrift store and let me know what you find. It will help a lot.
I also want to put this out as a vote: which would you prefer as a spray painted slogan on a t-shirt:
Thank you for giving a shit
or
Kill the Baby-wipe Beast
I really appreciate your input.

Thanks for the feedback.
Now for a stream-of-consciousness monologue....
Yesterday I attacked Modesto looking for t-shirts. I have secured 20. I've now run out of excuses to git 'er done. I also bought a dome tent, as I'd donated my tent to DPW last year. I also have cleared floor space to get the plastic cut. I also bought another bolt of muslin for the scarves. That's 6 hours of ironing I have to look forward to. Fortunately I have good movies and an entertaining boyfriend.
Why am I posting this? Because there are only 5 weeks left, and I'm building up to a full-throttle PANIC. I need to start hauling stuff out and taking inventory. I also realized I've been drinking beer to excess of late and not rehydrating. The boyfriend has been abundantly helpful and supportive. I just want to put that out there. It's going to be so wonderful seeing the event through a virgin's eyes. I've become such a surly veteran, I need the fresh perspective.
Thanks for listening.

Hooray! The t-shirts are finished! There are 12 "Thank you" shirts and 15 Baby-wipe shirts.
Thank you all for your support and votes. I'm bringing both stencils and spray paint out there so if you have shirts, just bring them out there and we'll git 'er done.
I just bought the BF's ticket. Whew!
Today's adventure is I need to work on my shelter structure.
THIS WOULD BE A GOOD TIME TO PANIC, CAMPERS!

What a terrific piece of art.
Thank you for making that.
And now... the final word (probably) before I head out...
Howdy Campers,
I leave in TWO MORE DAYS!
Yep, I have early-early entry, so me and my beautiful and talented volunteers can get the signs up pre-event. I JUST NOW finished the signs with about 6 new limericks, written by the demented Gonzo Frothwood. Along with those submitted on this board as well as other random places, I have an ABUNDANCE of silliness to entertain you poopers while you're excreting.
Thank you SO MUCH for your support, assistance, input and burning love over the years. This will be my 10th year at BM and 8th year doing the Pottie Project, and gawddamnit - IT'S GOING TO BE A GREAT YEAR FOR SHIT.
Keep spreading the word, loud and proud. And of course...
Stay regular,
