Don't visit anywhere semi-tropical then, the fucking spiders in Japan lived behind the pictures on the walls (which are hung tilted forward in a Japanese house) and the furniture, and ate the cockroaches. Not web spinners, great big fucking things, as big as my hand spread full out. Benjo spiders (ditch or potty spiders), don't know their real name. Since they did eat the big-ass roaches and palmetto bugs, we had a live and let live policy.
What got me was the big fucking millipedes (gatchi-gatchi) and the centipedes. Especially the centipede which crawled up my inner thigh while I was in bed (futon on the floor). FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I learned to levitate that night.
That wasn't very fucking helpful, was it?

Fuck 
I think my mom is dying. Platelettes and immature cell counts up. Iron down, she's anemic. Marrow tap today. Transfusion tomorrow. We're set for colonoscope and GI series on Monday. She had CT scans today and typing for tomorrows blood. She's in constant pain and the meds don't seem to be helping. We lost my dad 22 years ago to pacreatic cancer, I'm not ready to lose my mom yet. She's pasty white like my dad was his last week. Clear liquid diet till Monday. I hope to God the blood works , she looks like she could go any minute. My younger,52, brother lives at home and cares for her. I live across town. I visit every day with my dog Shadow who gives her comfort to touch. We haven't been told yet, but I think they're trying to rule out Leukemia. Fuck cancer.

Oldguy, I'm sorry about your mother and I wish her well...
Happy Friday the Fucking 13th! I don't have a case of triskaidekaphobia around here, the number 13 is fucking good to me. Case in point this morning's KC Star announced that my previous employer, Embarq Corporation, is outsourcing their internal help desk operations to Nokia Siemens.
In short that means that about 256 people are about to have their jobs outsourced. For the most part that sucks and I'm trying to help my friends find work and learn about helpful tools to get back on their feet fast. But the part I'm enjoying is I learned that 7 of America's crappiest managers got axed. I hope they enjoy the experiences of filing for KS unemployment, of having bill collectors call constantly, of having their house go into foreclosure and get sold on the county courthouse steps, and maybe even having to file Chapter 7 to get through it all.
I did all of those things, my Chapter 7 was officially discharged this week. But for this to be happening to managers who put 300+ people through holy fucking miserable hell...the karma gods and goddesses strike and strike hard. Forgive me for gloating a bit over the demise of their careers...I've earned the fucking right to do so.

Thank you everyone. It's been a long day. Mom got her blood and it pinked her up very well. Another CT today also. The swelling where they took the bone biopsy from her hipbone is coming down. She can eat regular food till Sunday. Monday is the colonoscope and the visit to the U.C.Davis Cancer Center next to Rideout Hospital in Marysville California. Weekly blood draw and transfusions till we get her anemia fixed. Iron dosage was upped, she's got some type of cancer med for her high immature cell count. Her mature red cell count is down. She's 75. If you want to donate blood in my mom's name it's Jessie Rae Baggett. She was treated at Rideout Hospital and various other special testing clinics in the Yuba-Sutter area. We stopped on the way home and got comfort food, KFC. She's a country girl from Arkansas and likes that kind of food. Tomorrow in Live Oak is the community picnic for Flagday. She wants to go so we're going. I've got a wheelchair that I'll offer her to use, but I think she'll decline. Anyway, the transfusion worked.

Fuck! Nine weekends to go. Ten if you live close to Nevada. Time to set up my practice camp in the backyard and check my equipment...fire up the generator, light up the stoves, practice loading the trailor with everything in practice camp. In the army they had field training exercises to work out all the kinks and reveiw skills. I'm thinking Fourth of July will be ideal for roadtrip shackdown before longer haul. Fun, fun, fun.
