At the BMHQ volunteer day there was an example of a wind powered evap device, a vertical cylinder supporting a double helix of two tubes at an angle, the tubes just dipping into the eva pool. As the double helix spun in the wind (they used a fan to demo), it carried water to the top of the cylinder. The cylinder had chicken wire and/or fabric (I think) to retain the water as it trickled down and in theory evaporated more efficient.
It was cool and I would like to build one and don't recall it well enough to just do it.
Anyone familiar with it that has some pointers or plans?

I know exactly what you are talking about.
I've bumped the topic about the evaporator for you.
The water feed bit is just a modified Archimedean Screw built with tubes so that it will pull water up no matter which way the wind blows.
