oh i know i am going to get something back for this... but eh, its what im good for.
have you ever stepped foot out on the playa?
have you ever been around burners?
maybe im just drunk, high or something else but i have never seen anything but respect from burners.
what i have seen are "weekenders" whom do not always embrace everything have a habbit of being missguided.

That's Habit not Habbit unless you mispelled Rabbit and a few other words, but then again you are drunk.mist wrote:

Hey have another drink and remember to tip your bartender on your way out. And don't come back for another two years!

I didn't say that I hated GW, I just want him to DIE!
Die white trash Bush! Now that could be conscrewed to be hate, but saying, "Die Trailer trash Bush!" is not!
Oh did I mention that we are not on the playa- I wouldn't even bother bring up the subject there.

Very well said! And for some reason, many of those types either have taken up residence in my home state or they "participate" from thousands of miles away via e-mail, slowly poisoning our l'il community with inane arguments about the most picayune perceived slights and potential injustices. Are the BM discussion boards like that in other people's Regionals, or is this a general internet phenomenon?Isotopia wrote:There'll always be folks who see the need to regulate/legislate based on perceived threats. I have this running goal to not be full of hate. And every year ... when my blood sugar drops, and I've been awake for days, and I've had not enough water, and I myself am mesmerized by the feat of nature taking place in the fact that I am still standing I think ... fuck you. It's an emotional time for me. My conspiracy is part of the landscape. I simply don't know where to turn when I'm out there. It's enough to simply drag on hours of watching the traffic go by. The naked guy ... the art car ... the lady giving away food ... the loud and dramatic.... It's so wonderful to not care what time it is. Everything feels so heavy and I'd rather never carry a purse. I can't seem to afford the weight of water or transportation ... I lost my fucking bike. I just float / stumble around for days.
Sometimes I try to be more participatory and I'll start talking. My voice was revoked by the wind last year. I screamed so loud that I couldn't talk at all. I've advanced a little bit in my understanding of things. However; I don't require YOUR support of this. I feel uniquely alone and I don't know why. That's the volume that is missing. Why can I feel so alone surrounded by people? I manage to build it into the matrix time and time again that whatever work I undertake I have to take it alone. Enough self importance and all encompassing arrogance will make you ripe with anger.
Amnesty for the angry. Amen.

Why? As long as a handful of people who I won't name continue to show up and sully the playa with their presence, there's no way for some of us to make BRC a hate free zone.DVD Burner wrote:Bump!

Hey, y'all. I had the most awesome experience in front of the cathedral on Mardi Gras day in New Orleans last week that I had to share it here:
Every year the John 3:16 Wal Mart evangelicals, aggro-Christians and God Hates Fags types congregate in front of the Cathedral with their giant crosses (mounted on skateboard trucks, just like Jesus' own), and bullhorns to rant about sin and Catlics and damnation et al.
This year on Mardi Gras day they got into a disagreement about something, so when we walked by I found them standing about three feet apart trying to outshout each other through bullhorns. Meanwhile, some dude dressed up like Jesus was shouting at some other evangelical right behind the other groups. The tourists and Quarter rats who normally listen or heckle just stood there, somewhat confused, taking pictures and laughing. I couldn't resist yelling "JESUS FIGHTS IN FRONT OF THE CHURCH! I GOT FIVE DOLLARS ON THE ONE THAT LOOKS LIKE A HIPPIE!"
Christ, that was almost as entertaining as watching the Japanese trannies bring unwitting fratboys up to their room across the hall from us.
This is definitely a sign of Cthulu's return for the 2008 election.

Why not just avoid the town and state that this happened in. Isn't it obvious that the Cracker Barrel execs didn't have anything to do with this? It's a couple of bad seeds in a restaurant chain. Of course any company is going to fight any claim brought against them in court. Wouldn't you?
Racial discrimination is EVERYWHERE. I'm the brunt of it all the time. I've been pulled over by cops, harrased and called names while on the street or driving and even threatened. All because of the color of my skin. Maybe I should sue.
To comit liable by telling a bunch of people to protest a restaurant that has racist management does nothing but make that manager happier with a clientelle that thinks like him. A better way to deal with this is to get all of your friends together and show up. Eat. Shop. And show the ignorant hick that life can exist pleasantly in a multi racial country.
Lead by example, not protest. Pro-lifers and PETA protest, do you want to be a terrorist?

Obviously, you didn't hear the story. The man that got fired over a lie complained to his superiors about the situtation and didn't respond sympathethically!Rat Bastard wrote:Why not just avoid the town and state that this happened in. Down with Denny's and Crackers!
Obama wants a federal law against racial profiling! Otherwise, it's true all the white people driving in our neighborhood are just here to steal our stash while they're high on meth and crack. they should all be in jail and stay in their home town!

What I heard is that a GM of a store fired a shift manager. The execs are in an office that oversees the chain and does not manage each individual store.
What store did this happen at? It doesn't say. By using the logic of boycotting all stores because of the behavior of one store manager all that is achieved is punishing every employee for the actions of one. Is that fair? To put it into perspective, if one journalist wrote an article in a newspaper that was racial, would it be fair to boycott that paper AND all of it's affiliates nationwide?
What I'm saying is boycotting companies for an infraction made by a micro percentage of it's employees does very little in punishing the offender. Instead it punishes everyone in that company regardless of their involvement of the infraction. Like the dishwashers, waitstaff, cooks and other non-management employees and stockholders. Then with the reduced business, someone will have to be let go. That reveals the opertunity for a decision based on race to happen once again during the down-sizing. Maybe a better idea would be to write a letter to Cracker Barrel executives demanding that the racist be fired. Then again, there's three sides to every story. Your's, mine and the truth. How often have you heard of someone whining that they got fired for some bullshit issue then to find out later that they've been inadequit, late, steeling, slacking etc in their job. Yet you think it makes sense to start a movement based on one side of the story, the guy that got fired's story.
I'm also not sure about your reference about white meth addicts in a black area. I may own property in a black area, but that doesn't make me a meth addict. Plus, racial profiling is already in the law books. Written into parts of the patriot act as well. So is a law about storming into a university classroom and shooting people. Somehow it still happens. Laws mean nothing if people choose not to listen to them. Maybe you should read my post again. You can choose to gain something from it or pick it apart.
I stated that leading by example rather then protest and boycott gets better results. If you wish to punish people by boycotting them for something they didn't do, go for it. It seems to be in typical ill-informed hippie fashion these days.
