Hello everyone. Anticipating my first Burning Man experience....I'm the kid sister of a Burning Man veteran and have been yearning to go for a while. I am familiar with the versatile concept and wide spectrum of amazing-ness that burning man entails yet I still remain untouched by a personal burning man experience. Basically I cannot wait to just take it all. Ive been premeditating this for a very long time now and I would love some more insight for preparation..sooo....hope to hear from you : )
shpanks.

Don't listen to him...BLUE tarps are bad, too! (and don't leave underpants on that Interoceter, Servo!)
Wait until you see that first glint of blue* neon from down 447. THAT'S when it becomes Real for me each year!
*assuming that's the Man's color this year...perhaps with red and white accents? yikes

Water: 1.5-2 gallons/person/day
Food: you don't need a whole lot and it doesn't have to be elaborate
Chapstick
Good footwear, socks, moisturizer
Tent with no mesh walls or roof
Plastic bin you can seal up tight to hold your stuff
Read the survival guide over and over again
Read the survival guide some more.
That pretty much covers it.

See the Malcolm in the Middle episode and read The Man Burns Tonight.StewartS wrote:I'm a first timer as well. After talking to several people it appears we have to experience it to understand. I've been told...bring plenty of water and no preconceptions.
It's exactly like that, only different.
Duck, if that is your real name, there should be some burney stuff with amazingness in boston.
