Pinch an Inch

Post by unjonharley » Sat Jun 14, 2008 7:04 am

Anyone old enough to remember Pinck an Inch

WEll I have dropped off 30 plus lb. sence last on the playa.. The first 15 was water.. No more water/hi blood pressure pills.. With thinner more streamline feet an new supports.. Alot of the lost feeling has returned to the feet.. I don't tend to stagger or fall as much.. Still us the cane on off days..

But that inch is still there to pinch.. Damn I hate bridged push ups.. BUt I still have size 34 cargo shorts from the past.. Being a cheap bastard I'll do the push ups..

Was shooting for 45lb. Oh well

How did you do it? Some of us even sniff food and gain 1/2 lb right there or so it seems.

My base food is steel cut oats and brown rice.. With some fruit it make a good breakfast.. Then I became a salid chef for myself.. Add nuts, "good" cold oil and wheat germ.. Or apple, nuts and pasta with oil and salt/pepper..

Last meal of the day is 3:00..

Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like your well to do and dinner like your a broke collage kid..

Damn. How will we know it's you?
I don't remember you being all that big last year.

Keep in mind that if you're exercising like you should, you should be adding muscle weight.
I have a skinny friend I can barely pick up.
She used to sing opera, good muscle tone.
190 pounds, looks like 110.

Bravo! Having lost about 35 pounds from my top, and now having another 5 or 10 to go, I know how hard it can be. Well done. :)

I have worked and played hard all my life.. Even at 240 I did not look over weight.. Now that I have retired a lot of that has gone to fat.. I'm down to 5 9 from 5 11.. Last year the blood pressure went up and I was holding a lot of water.. That's when I took a good look at "me".. Between the garden, yard, small woods, some house work and my shop I put in a good 10 hour day..

I have found that "barly" is a great sweeper.. With a little thought you can add it into a lot of meals.. Sure took my tummy size down.

Pinching an inch is no big deal. I don't consider myself the least bit overweight (although by today's standards I probably would be) and I can easily pinch an inch. Gotta become a wall of solid muscle before I won't be able to anymore.

Are you what they call a muffin top?

Where one wears low rider pants, and there muffin top sits above the belt line..

I have a mild muffin top by I have been slowly working it away. In the past 21 days I have lost 7 lbs and my waist is shrinking yeah!

I plan on being down to 130 lbs before burning man. Wish me luck guys.

16lbs more to go. Honestly I will just be happy when my lovely tummy gets back to being nice and flat instead of mildly rounded :)

Thank you chiefdanfox. It's been going really well burning man has been my motivation. I have been lugging the extra weight around for 4 years since my daughter was born and nothing else has motivated me to loose it. I was attractive enough with it but I want my skimpy costumes to look as hot as possible.

No muffin top here, thanks. I just meant that unless you're solid muscle there's always a way to pinch an inch somewhere. Skin is stretchy.

Wow unjon...

We'll have to tie you to an anchoring weight to keep you from blowing away in a dust storm.

Yeah, I remember pinch an inch. And I can still do it. I eventually found a weight where I was comfortable and have remained about 5-10 lbs over it for years.

Like Kinetic said, I can sniff food and gain weight so I just watch what I eat.

Jeez... I guess its salad tonight after reading this thread.

I had gall bladder surgey on July 1st and since then I've lost 7lbs. Not much but when you're 5'6" and get down to 181lbs, it feels better. Would like to lose another 15 or 20.

Dangit, I STILL have a Bay Window...and all I've been eating is muffin tops! Perhaps I should eliminate 'em entirely and just stick with the Warm PBR Diet....on the bright side, my wedding tackle doesn't get sunburned.

There's an exercise that actually helps with weight-loss.

It's called a push-away.

As in "push away from the table"....

The one thing I hated about driving over the road, was that I was pretty much limited to greasy fucking truck stop food. Gained way too much weight! Going local was a blessing. Ate better, and with multiple stops per day, I actually got a workout.

Stopped at a Flying J yesterday, thought all night about this.

Drop an empty trailer at a dock and forget to lower the landing gear and have warehouse workers start loading the trailrer and then have to raise it to fifth wheel height. Been there, done that. I guess they could'nt tell they were going down a 70% incline

Or "former" hostler, dropped a fully loaded trailer with the landing gear up. Kinda liked the V-shaped look. Can't believe they hired a guy straight out of truck school.

What got the V shape?

People really are polite around those student driver trucks.
