Did some searching, and some older threads reference cutting aluminet into arbitrary shapes (dome coverings) without any trouble. Wanted to ask confirmation on that, and other advice without resurrecting a thread from last year. The ae-zone wiki on aluminet imply that bias cuts might be a raveling problem.
So, if one cuts aluminet on an angle will it tend to ravel? In other words, can I cut a arbitrary geometric (flat) shape out of aluminet and it'll hold-up stretched tight as a covering?
Nope, don't have my sample yet, otherwise I'd try to answer my own question (although long-term durability is a question). Ordering soon.
Thanks!

cut it oversize and hem it.
I use silver poly-tarp about 2" wide to make a tape to roll the hem around, then take a folded 4"wide poly-tarp piece to cover the hem. Zigzag stitches, then grommet thru the 6 layers. Survived 4 burns so far..
