No way mang. I hear that, like, thirty thousand ninjas sneak into Black Rock City every year. Those dust devils leaping from the Temple burn?
Ninjas! In fact this year they'll be camped at Temple Ninja and Bianca's Ninja Shack.

Most of 'em got tired of it so they have their own Burning Ninja right outside the trash fence and nobody knows about it. (Ninjas leave no trace!)

Exactly! As a 4 year Burningman attendee, I am very sure I could get someone in. But as a 4 year Burningman attendee, I would never ever fucking sneak someone in. I know where the money goes and while it maybe distasteful to number of people, the event runs on money and that's what tickets are for.

there is a way....

come from the north...via jungo.....turn right at hardon..(ghost town)

head into the middle of the playa....then approx 3/4 way across turn due south.

then wrap yourself up in a heat reflective mylar space blanket.

walk in thru the perimeter fence on west/north side of playa.

i do not condone this.

good luck ninja-sans.

oh yeah, do this in the dead of night, preferably moonless.

I still think sneaking in De Niro style is a way to go.

I also saw one lady in the heat of the moment get out of her car early, and start pretending to be a greeter. she was loud, jumping on the sides of cars, greeting people.

and giving directions. I am not sure if she made it in for free - but it looked fun for her.

I know a couple of people who were able to sneak in thru the trash fence... but that was in '99 I think.

They check every rubbermaid bin and oversized cooler in my van every year for dead midgets and contortionists.

In 07 we had a camp-mate fined for attempting to bring in a stow-away. As the searchers entered the front of the RV she jumped out a rear door. She couldn't get a ticket because... (wait for it)... she'd left her purse in the RV, which by now was deep in camp. Sucked to be her.

Gate and Perimeter and seperately LEOs monitor and drive the inside and outside of the fence, use night vision devices, and become one with the minds of evil-doers. Gate certainly checked under our RV in 06 and 07; I'm not convinced the DeNiro thing would actually work.

I have to parrot the $25/day cost; damn, for that little money I can't even get a large pizza in my city. Why would I want to screw the org out of that?

Oddly enough the last two years they have not searched my ship. WTF?? It's damn near the size of a horse trailer. I guess they balked at the fact that they'd have to get up on top since the only hatch in is up there. Plus the mast was strapped over the hatch.

I guess the trick is to make it hard for them to check. lol

No, you can't ride in there. Fuck off. :D
(damn that'd be a shitty ride in there on that bumpy road... )

You want to get in free (or really cheap)?

Move to Gerlach

Become a Ranger and stay one for a couple years

Join the DPW

Go to medical school. Become a registered nurse or a doctor and work the Med Tent.

Go to the police academy. Become a cop and pray they assign you to Burning Man.

I'm sure there are more ways. That's all that comes to mind right now though.

Could be a bummer when your campmates bust you for lighting up. Or do they only bust others not their own kind. (Profesional courtesy.)

I miss the days when you could drive out on the playa and find extreme solitude .

You can still. I went out to Juplaya last weekend. It was entirely different without the trashfence and crowds. At least 5 camps had morter setups in my line of sight. Separation of camps was 3 or 4 miles. The fireworks were an amazing display. Say ooh, a magnitude of ten above a usual community display. You thought they might be done in one spot , but they were just reloading their tubes. I'm talking big stuff too, round shells...the expensive stuff. Best show ever...And then another camp would start...There were a few fire cannons lighting off also, and gunfire too.

Oops, there I go. I've spilt the beans....

Enough people go to Juplaya that the "unevent" is now on the BLM's radar. It is not half as underground as folks think. I saw the memo, it was MOOP last year out there during ROM.

Why does a press pass get you in for free :?: I know of a Reno media smuck that brags about the great time he has taking pics of the crazy naked people for free at BM. Hell, just fake a press pass and your in.
