Just got home from a search and rescue for my niece in the Lake Wenatchee Forest... Got a call from my Sister, Sun. am, on the Plane In Sacramento and in Seattle by noon and hiking by 3pm.. Were called off the Mnt, due to darkness. Ready to hike at 6:30 am today.. Briefing gets a call that SHE"S FOUND and in the Helicopter.. YEA... In short, went hiking alone and was lost in the 1st 30 mins.... Spent 2 nights and came out with just a few scrapes ect...

*crawls to the dark corner and sleeps on the couch*

well hello there Bar Peeps!
Man O man...good to hear she's OK IBDave!

I dont know exactly what happened yesturday, besides the heat index, But Titwi and I just basically took the day off? No real work on the PF, just some gathering of metal for the frame....then one piece of fabric clamped up,measured, cut...then took down....
That was IT?

Yup, a total wash of a good productive day...turned into blobs of Jelly laying around the house?

Was needed I guess....

Im still havin issues with drinking enough water...dur... 2 nights in a row Ive been sick from dehydration...
I M U S T D R I N K W A T E R.....repeat.....
I'm about to duct tape a water bottle in my left hand...that'll teach me!

Being dehydrated sucks.

Try this...
Table Salt - 3/4 teaspoon
Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
Sugar -4 tablespoons
Orange juice - 1 cup
Water - 1 quart/liter

If that is too nasty then gatorade tastes better, but I always tell patients, by the time you feel like shit, water doesn't do much.

I put a 1/2 gallon juice jug with my name on it in the fridge. Top it up with water every day before going to bed...gives me a method to keep track of water intake, and its cold and the chlorine is less sitting after a while.

Where did Nipples go,... That is a cosmic question,.... (long gulp on freshly ground whole bean brew) Got an invite from a buddy who is a licensed pyrotechnic to help with the fireworks display in Haines, Oregon (about 30 minutes away). He says their show is better than ours here. Would be assisting dropping 5, 6, and 8 inch mortars into tubes (Oh SnAp!
