Favorite Gay Camps?

My vote is for Comfort & Joy (because of after glow), Astro Pups (for their wrestling), Vietnemse Ice Coffee (self-expanatory) and Stiffy Lube for the very important role they serve "the community." I also like Il Nana for their hospitality and fabulous fashion show...

The Vietnamese Ice Coffee camp serves iced coffee, Vietnamese style (with condensed milk). They just happen to be part of one of the gay villages. No rusty trombone....

Because the word Gay in relation to a man defines his sexuality, as Lesbian does with women. It is the definition. It is the one thing all Gay men have in common.

And since people talk about what they have in common the conversation inevitably turns to include about poopers, or enemas, or asses and combinations off such. Gay men talk about ass as often as Straight guys talk about tits.

The definition of gay is a man who loves and has sex with other men, (lesbian= loves & has sex with other women, straight= loves & has sex with the opposite sex) To narrow the definition to exclude the aspect of love & only include sex is equivalent to saying that Burning Man is only the Ooontz Ooontz camps at 2 & 10, ie- it just ain't so.

Or I could be wrong, and straight relationships are really only about sex and don't involve anything else like, say, attraction, shared interests, mutual appreciation, a love of the same things, communication and, oh yeah, love. Of course, not being straight, I don't really know, but I love flying my ignorant flag & claiming I own the truth.

One annoyed fag in a 22 year relationship, who is so very tired of seeing straight people try to define me by body parts.

You called it a straight relationship, but without the sex it is just a relationship. Could be a freindship. Sex is the only thing that defines the type of relationship you are in Gay or straight.

I don't think sexuality is limited to sexual acts. If someone is celibate, then is it also possible for her to be either straight or lesbian? How about a man that has sex with women but imagines/wishes he is/was mano y mano?

I know a lot of folks think being queer is choosing to act queer. All the queer folk I know just are, and it isn't all about sex. It is like saying you choose to act like you have brown eyes or light skin.

But why does "gay" immediately bring up sex, when "straight" doesn't?

I think the original point mdmf007 was making is that a lot of threads that have the word "gay" in them get highjacked into ass-joke threads. I don't see threads on best camps for kids get highjacked into sex-joke threads, or best bar threads get highjacked into, oh, say, Irish-joke threads. Yes, threads go off-track, it's expected. However- always ass-jokes? Straight men are more fascinated by gay men & their asses than we are.

Don't worry about annoying me, I'm certainly not worried about annoying people to stand up for what I believe in.

For this thread in particular I think it has to go back to the mention of a 'vietnamese ice coffee' to where one's curiosity was peaked and an explanation came forth.

I don't feel as if you're singling me out. If you were, you'd be singling out the wrong guy cuz I certainly have never been and never would "walk" into a "gay thread" and mention anything about asses.

I know the original post was asking about the best gay camps and honestly, I don't know. I'm always so overwhelmed with so many possibilities that I usually just wonder around and love on everyone.

...now, a vietnamese ice coffee camp sounds pretty interesting though...

as far as girls who don't give head?....lame(especially since I'm lickin), so my opinion on non ass-play is also lame and I don't care if you're gay or straight.

Just wanted to mention to alt12 and to dr.placebo that Stiffy Lube will not be there this year or will Lady of Schlongs.

I contacted Lady of Schlongs and they said that the meat inspectors will be at other camps.

Will there be anything similar to the â€œmeeting areaâ€
