I'm a nasty old cynic, and I think people are really stupid with their kids. Raising them christian, for instance. Using them as weapons in divorces. Beating them "for their own good." The list is long and heinous.

This one caught my eye. Are you saying that there are folk who will target kids for negative behavior on playa based on those mixed feelings?

I mean people have mixed feelings about utili-kilts on playa but I don't feel I have to keep any more of an eye open when I wear mine around brc. I'm just a bit clueless about what you meant with the above, care to clarify?

""I think people are really stupid with their kids. Raising them christian, for instance""

WTF does ones' religion have to do with anything? You can say it's stupid to raise a kid in ANY religion, or raise them as an Atheist. I am not a Christian, but I have met many wonderful Christian families. I have also met many wonderful Mormons, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Atheists, etc...

It's ignorant statements like yours, that have led to so many wars on this planet.

Are you sure about that? Maybe more of those statements would have prevented many wars...?

Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and blame political correctness and people getting their panties in a bunch for no reason for most of our wars and unhappiness.

I also know some highly functional Christian families, but I don't get all wound up over someone talking crap about Christians. The decent, open-minded, love thy neighbor Christians generally don't either, because they hate the majority of Christians out there more than anyone else. They're jerks AND they make them look bad.

everyone knows the root of all war is women.
it's power.
you could say it was gold.
you could say it was spice.
you could say it was god.
land.
you could say it was muhammed or jesus.

once the old bastards gained power then they could have all the women.

i'm not sure I believe this, but it was fun to type.

the easiest way to not get your panties in a bunch is to take'em off.
blow.

I think alot of the whole idea is based upon the "kid", how they were brought up, their values etc...
I now bring my youngest, she's now 15 (well as of tomorrow) Burnerbaby.
But her sister at that same age, I wouldnt have.
She wouldnt have been ready for it...she's 21 and still not ready for it!
But then again, my youngest is different. She's been raised around burners, she's a fire performer, she's honest, to a fault! And she and I were very open with what she was going to see out there prior to going her first year. It was a test of sorts really on her first year. And she passed with flying colors. She hydrated, she ate, she napped, she checked in on playa time.(she had a busier schedule then I did!)

It really is truely a unique experience...but in the same hand...I got wind that there was a couple with a toddler that were maxed out on acid, I guess some good samaritan finally took them all to med tent.
That IS BAD!
If your going out there to blow your brains out on drugs...dont take your fricken kids!

Its all about responsiblility...if your not going to be or your kids arnt at a responisible age, then please dont take them!
Names pinemom, but my friends call me "Piney".

Yeah, bring the children.

Bring them everywhere you go.

Critical Tits.
Critical Dicks.
Shirtcockers parade(they have one)
World Naked Bike Ride
Human Carcass wash.
(make sure to use lots of sunblock)

Make them participate.

Then when you take them home,
show them how to use the confessional booth at the church,
or you might end up with a bunch of pagans for children.
