Guns, Love Em or Leave Em
I am a liberal (in case some of you needed that pointed out) and proud of it. I also joined the NRA. We have to start making odd coalitions to save America's wilderness. And there's the Zen of aiming straight....

Hey Gyre, where can I get some of those Hitler Targets?
I have a weakness for zombie targets at the range...oh and Ann Coulter books...you can get them on Amazon for 1 cent.
Thanks Simon. Are they allowed if you have them taken apart into components? They seem to allow it that way at Big Bend National Park.
Much good that'll do ya if ya run into some burreros....

They can be downloaded or purchased from the links I posted.
They had a much larger version which I think had a copy of the Nazi proclamation seizing guns on it too.
That's how I first heard about them.

During my recent class I learned that virtually none of the 'No Guns Allowed' signs have any authority whatsoever, as the state is specific about size and phrasing.
It may be that way other places too.
It would be tempting to paste one of these up in a few places.
Anyone know a good adhesive?

Hey Gyre thanks. That poster of Joaquin Jackson is outdated. The guy was a tExas Ranger. The show he appeared on was about using full auto for hunting and he said something like he didn't approve of that. He prefers the art of hunting. In a later NRA interview, he clarified his position. Says you should be able to take your prey down with one shot. If it takes you more than that, you're doing something wrong, but if you wanna hunt with an Uzi, it's ok by him. I highly recommend both of his books. Couldn't put em down. Intense.
I believe they're making a film on his life now. He's buddies with Tommy Lee Jones. Lives in Alpine now. I tried to meet him but I think he was out a town. Love far West Texas!

Guys. Come on. I'm talkin THE BIG BEND. There ain't no place like that except maybe Mars, and the Big Bend is prettier. Talk about wild, remote, otherworldly, desolate and shockingly beautiful, dangerous and tantalizing at the same time, just like some women around here....
Pinto Canyon Rd. Larry actually went down there one year scouting for a new "place" too wild. Pinto Canyon Rd.....called the most "Desolate Road in America" I love that!. One of these days I'm gonna hang out on Chinati Peak....some say the mystery lights originate from there......

well, actually, it was an illegal weapon as well, i had sawed off my shottie and pistol gripped it and it was 1 1/2 inches shy of the then recently changed length (14' to 18" as a result of patriot act)
its always a size issue with these bastards...
and it was intact, in it's entirety.
i also brought with me an old Luger in 98, a 22 with a scope in 97', a 22 in 96'
and of course, the ill-fated 2002, where i learnt my lesson in 60 days, via the Lovelock Involuntary Work Spa and Hostile Hostel.
(actually....hats off to the Pershing County Sherriff, Ron Skinner, and his Staff at the Pershing County Jail, They Treated me with Dignity and Respect, as i did Them.)

Uh, what?
Civilian legal (no SBR license) barrel length on a shotgun has been 18" since the first batch of gun laws went into effect in 1934.
The Patriot Act had nothing pertaining to guns in the legislation.
