"Watched Topics" feature

The intent of this mod is to give you a way to access your favorite topics quick & easy-like, wihtout having to filter through all the other stuff. You check "watch" from the bottom of the topic, and it creates a shortcut on your own "favorites"-style index page.

so it's nice that i can have a "watched topics" list, so i can put all the threads i want to read there.

problem is, i still need to wade through the whole morass to find those threads, and then when i put them on the list, i start getting email everytime there's a new message! i don't want email, i just want to read the threads i want to read without having to dig through a ton of otyher stuff!.

off to unwatch everything...

Must this mod email me when something new is posted?
Or can that function be turned off?

I thought that your personal setting for "Always notify me of replies" in your profile would supercede the Watched topics emailing. Can you check and confirm that it is set to "no"?

Notify of replies defaults to yes; setting it to no causes no mail to be sent
for watched topics.

confirm - it was set to no, and i still got email. not that i'd expect the two to be related - i should be able to watch topics i haven't posted in, and ignore topics in which i have...

Huh. I thought I wasn't getting messages, but apparently I'm just filtering
them effectively.

It doesn't surprise me that notifications are happening. The mod seems to
create an index page of watched topics, and doesn't interfere with the
previous watched-topic functionality which was an email response
mechanism.

If desired, I can take a look at the mod and see what would be needed to
add something to the profile page that allows you to get email notification
or not from watched topics. After I'm done with skin development, that is.
