Keeping Bikes from falling over

Post by galaxybeing » Wed Jul 16, 2008 10:14 pm

If your kickstand sinks into the playa you can put a ball on the end. I cut the elastic part off a bungie ball and slipped the ball over the end of my kick stand, with a lot of duct tape to keep it from falling off. Wrap some duct tape over the end of the kick stand before slipping the ball on to make a tighter fit.

Simple easy tip. I usually just dump my bike and chain it, but if I had a nice playafide art bike, id be all over this.

Keeping me off of them also helps them stay upright.

Some people simply poke a hole in a tennis ball........it works too.
We have an obligation to make space for everyone, we have no obligation to make that space pleasant.

I ride a tricycle now. I can sit on it at zero mph in a crowd.

It's friendly and neighborly to not leave your bikes in a pile. Please burn in a clockwise direction!
