Where can I get a bike?

Post by xanaxfairy » Thu Jul 17, 2008 7:04 pm

I am considering renting from Black Rock Rentals, though have also heard that there are bikes available on the street and @ the local Wal Mart. Any suggestions?

Wal-mart should run you about sixty bucks for a decent bikes. I got mine at Metropawn for twenty, but depending on when you arrive in Reno there's a good chance the pawn shops will be cleaned out.

If you can't take your bike away with you, don't abandon it on the playa, find a good home for it before you go. Either burners on the playa or the many drop off locations between Black Rock and Reno.

do not 'adopt' a yellow(or green, or whatever color<they'll be tagged>) community bike as your own for the week....don't lock it, fluff it or stash it......ride it if you need to and leave it for the next needy camper....don't be a BAD, NAUGHTY BURNER.....

Alot of folks just grab whatever bike is handy and unlocked. Mainly this teaches the noobs that they should lock their bike next time.

Try the Kiwanis program in Reno.. $30 they will reserve a bike for you in Reno you can either keep it or after the event "re-donate"it.. && It helps the local kids. :-)

just buy one at wally world or target, or freddies. Then give it away, simplest plan for a solid bike.
