Infrared thermometers

Post by Bob » Thu Jul 17, 2008 12:39 pm

Techweenie note of the day --

IR (infrared) thermometers seem to be much cheaper, smaller & more widely available nowadays than when I bought one years ago for around $200 -- the internets show them as low as $40. These could be handy for testing your & other people's shade structures, you just point them at a surface and they give you an instant temperature reading. Just don't leave them in the sun, it'll fry the LCD screen.

I though Bob wasn't allowed to start threads anymore.

Just thought real data might beat all the endless wanking over whether Acme Sugar-Coated Fishnet is better than Ace Hydrogen-Infused Zeppelin Cloth.

Plus you can check the heat of the coals under the Man before you go rolling around in it.
