The advantage that Magsafe and Glaser have over traditional hollow point rounds is not in the fragmentation but in the energy transfer. They deliver 90 to 98% of the rounds potential energy into the soft tissue of the target and that energy alone creates massive, cavitating wound canals.
There is also the issue of overpenetration. A traditional 9mm hollow point round will pass through a person at close range. A Glaser or Magsafe round will not. Half inch sheetrock will not degrade the trajectory of a 9mm jhp round very much but can absorb as much as 75% of the energy from a Glaser or Magsafe round and will typically cause them to do their expandomatic trick. Both of these, the energy absorption and expansion/disintegration of the round make them ideal for interior use.

Glasers are not glued, only pressed.
They say the ES turn into powder.
The Glasers have a set fragment size, larger in the silver.
I'm told they get a lot of calls from coroners identifying the bullets.
I'm using Corbon DPX now, not supposed to fragment and they spread wider than any hollowpoint I've tested.
They are supposed to stay intact as a unit.
It's a Barnes X bullet.
FYI Tungsten appears to have a high rate of cancer growth when left in the body.
It looks like the military has abandoned it's use.

PS Glasers use tiny shot pellets covered with a tip. They were designed for crowd control but work well in apts and situations where a miss or overpentration is an issue. Lethal in a soft target though.. a little different from the current school of powdered metal pressed slugs.
