In the time that it is taking for me to purchase a ticket

Post by zarniwoop » Mon Mar 01, 2004 12:25 am

the earth has traveled to the Restaurant At The End of the Universe, had a nice five course meal, watched the show, had port, and coffee, and is still waiting for the check.
Peace be with you.

I can't get the page to open ~ Know Matter What. Sometimes I get to the first ticket page and then when I click either the $165 or the $185 purchase button, I get the error page. I guess I'm not the only one, huh?

I can't believe how poorly this is going.

They should just shoot their System Administrator over there. Wow, what idiot designed this system?

Ab-so-fucking-lutely

Post by Rob the Wop » Mon Mar 01, 2004 2:01 am

I started trying to get tickets at 12:02.
I have reached the "This window will close on it's own" confirmation window- 7 FUCKING TIMES- only to have it not connect to the server EACH FUCKING TIME. What the fuck is this bullshit?

How the fuck can I expect to get a fucking ticket if it won't let me through? I have to work tomorrow and then go to college at night. Why the hell couldn't they pick a ticket vendor that could handle the job? Do they have any idea how frustrating it is to get the confirmation window this many times, to get this fucking close, and still get rejected?

This is costing us a minimum of $37,500 on this round only!

Post by Fry » Mon Mar 01, 2004 2:04 am

Geez, not only is this ridiculous in terms of server access, but at a minimum of $6.25 in additional charges per on just the first round of 6000 tickets...

$2.75 fee each
$1.00 processing fee
$2.50 us mail

Now, the last time I looked, a first class stamp is .37.

Uh, isn't automation supposed to DECREASE cost?

And to think I voted for this. Live and learn.

Rather disgusted,

Fry

Buying secret...

Post by Plaid » Mon Mar 01, 2004 2:21 am

If you are on a PC, use netscape. I don't know why... I've been trying on IE for 2 hours... but in a last-chance try before I gave up and went to bed, I tried netscape. It gives you error messages instead of error pages, and makes it easier to hit submit over and over... I got in on my third try, and went all the way.

DONE!

Only took just over 2 HOURS!!!! Sheesh.

Fucking damn unprepared server grumble grumble.

I played with for over two hours. I voted against this style in the first place for just this reason. Then to get over $8 in fees. Grrrrrrr
