No Survival Guides for the poor folks?
Last year I bought a top-tier ticket and received my Survival Guide in the mail shortly after. This year I applied for and received a low income ticket, but although I check my mailbox faithfully every day, I have yet to get my '08 Guide. What gives? Anybody else out there with a low income ticket get a Guide or do they just not send them to us po folk, figgerin we caint read good nohow...

Now stop whining.
Base cost for useful interweb here is $50 a month.
When my discount price runs out, I pull the plug.
It's not very fast service either.
I find it impossible to read long things online and I don't have a printer.
Might be okay with a bigger screen, but I have the biggest one I can get now.
Many people seem to think everyone is online, but most people I know don't have service at home.

survival guides... slow?
I've had mine since last weekend ... & I don't check my PO box everyday, so I don't know when it really arrived.

Hmm... I got a low-income ticket as well and no survival guide as of yet. Maybe they're just processing those addresses last. I live pretty close to SF, so mail really shouldn't take all that long to get here. I'll let you know if I see anything.

You kinda have to figure, with something like 30,000 survival guides going out, there might be a lag in between depending on where your name was on the list. It might be alphabetical, it might be geographical, or it might all be totally fucking random. I just read the survival guide online. Pretty much the exact same thing as last year, but it always gets me in the mood to burn.

Regardless of whether or not they are they same, I like to collect burning literature from past years... Besides I would have to say that they are not all the same guides with different graphics... They do contain new info from year to year. For example the new news on no gate ticket sales, or how the city is bigger this year. It contains new info on the new placement of the first aid camps, the new placement of the Ranger Stations... This info is key for first timers. The snail mail guide is also a way to get this new info to people who dont have the luxury of the internet... Plus its always nice to have a hardcopy of the guide incase you have random questions on the way out there that the guide could easily clear up... In fact I would have to say each years guide has new info on it every year...
