We have a similar set-up made from a folding wall-mount bike holder. We put bungees through the wheels so they don't move or spin in transit. Larry also looses the handle bars and turns them sideways so the bikes fit better.

I would have liked to use a folding version but I'm a cheap
bastard and the parts for mine were mostly free.

Hey! My friend is picking me up in an hour, and off we go! We're staying in Reno Sunday night, driving to the playa Monday morning..

Reading these posts is inspiring me to at least throw a corset in my bag amidst the shorts and t-shirts. I'd given up on costumes, but I feel like I should do SOMETHING.. Sad that my pith helmet and bustle will have to wait another year.

Can't wait to stop by and see what you've come up with!

I'm back in Kentucky. The rest of the crew should be returning to their respective locations soon.

We came, we saw, we served tea. Contact was established with the bizarre occupants of this harsh desert land. The crew was harmonious and unified. Several members went native on occasion. We survived two days of complete whiteout dust-storms, saw some amazing sunsets, and watched the Man burn (oh, the humanity!) An indubitably successful venture.

I went native toward the end of the week but I think that Lawrence of Arabia can be worked into steampunk.

Hey! Home again.. really enjoyed meeting all of you at Bomb Bay [and the service was excellent, thanks to your child labor..] I love that we accidentally ended up camping down the road from you-- nice to be in the neighborhood!
