Yeah, the Designated Driver issue has been haunting me since this whole idea was hatched. Hell, I have a commercial driver license... I'd like to still have it when I get back.
I gotta find someone with a Captain's License to navigate for me if I'm to attend this little cocktail social.

Last year I had a problem driving fast after leaving the burn. I got so used to not touching the pedal and driving at idol.

It can be problematic catching up with something more mobile than you are.
I had a chance to use one of the BIG fire cannon last year and could never catch the truck stopped long enough.

Last year we blew a tire on the trailer just before Lovelock... late afternoon-ish. We had already used the spare on the trip out when we had an issue with a dome strut dropping down and rubbing a groove in one of the tires. It was now the extra tire, so the â€œspareâ€

I'm gonna be all ears in about 2 weeks for that one, LeChat!
If you pass through Cedarville, CA on your way to the playa, there's this old guy who lives across from the old former theater, just down from the gas station (the one with the new burner-extremely-friendly owner) and if you're lucky he'll be out and about. He's always got stories and photo albums of quite a lifetime he's had. I almost always end up finding him.
In '00 I blew a trailer tire on my way to BRC, somewhere in Oregon. I had spares, but they looked just as crappy. I put one on and was able to find an old-time SERVICE station that had me set up with all new trailer tires, on a Sunday, right away. And they were officially closed on Sundays! I tipped the guy like 50 bucks, he made my day more than that made his.

Ya, those guys were great. They gave us coupons for the taco stand he owned down the street. I needed FOUR tires for our trailer. That was about a $450 pit stop. We're hoping that we don't need any pitstops. Or maybe it was the one shop that we had to get a lug bolt replaced. The nicer, newer shop was the lug bolt and the older shop in nowhere was the tires.

Can't wait to hear the Sheriff story.

HELP!!

This is an incomplete list of the people I will have Pub crawl cards with their
name on the card. (I can't do this for your whole camp but... If you are not on the list and you want a playa time card
for your self or someone in your camp add your/their name to the list. If I missed you I am sorry I just have 500 cards to do I'm overloaded with Pub Crawl data and I don't want to miss anyone that wants one. If you are not on the list and you don't add yourself I might not have a card for you.

also the bar list I wont posted but if you want your Bar to be listed let me know I seem to be missing some Pm's requesting Bar listings.

I can't find on here if the crawl starts at one certain place, or, is it a "shotgun start"?..............and, will it be "just after fucking hot", or, "still light but cooling nicely", or" gettin cold but those high beam t shirts are nice"..........

Moi? Did somebody nominate me? I shall attempt to coordinate the several threads where the MV Pub Crawl is mentioned, with my own understanding of same. I would certainly love to join in -- I would ride my big-honking pedal-powered Kinetic Racing trike. I could also make myself available as a Designated Driver (25 years in 18-wheelers -- rubber side down the whole way). (As for my bus, it is not a bar and not a MV -- just a BRC residence.)
